I think that move will be spectacular. I just need my blanket, pillow and a good storybook to complete the ability to fall asleep.

Does Hellboy count as a tiefling?
Verbose
Dec 29 2007, 09:10 AM
That, or a gorilla.
nothingbroken
Dec 29 2007, 10:43 AM
Is he hairy?
BowenSilverclaw
Dec 29 2007, 11:35 AM
Nope, he's not.
Tiefling could work for big red though...

Clearly he's shaved. Wrong colour for a gorilla with hair.

Dec 30 2007, 06:56 AM
Hmmm... shaved. Or it all fell out from stress?
There's a lot of pressure on a guy with a name like "Hellboy".
People expect certain things.

If nothing else, a certain outlook.
It's prejudice is what it is.

Dec 30 2007, 08:58 AM
It totally is.
It defines his career options. Like, who would send their child to a Guidance Councillor called Hellboy? Or hire Hellboy as an Interior Decorator? Or take Yoga classes taught by him?

And forget missionary work.
"This is brother Hellboy" just doesn't fly.

I really didn't think the first movie was all that good, just sayin'
Verbose
Dec 31 2007, 12:24 AM
I never watched it. I had a nagging feeling I'd seen it before.
Some years later, I realised I'd been watching the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and that was what I'd been remembering.

League of Extraordinary Gentleman movie totally sucked; I thought that even before I read the comics. Hellboy was good up until the ending; the second one looks good though. The ending for the first one kind of kept you looking at the screen and thinking "is that it?"

Meh, the only movie that looks really good so far is the LFG movie.

League of Extraordinary Gentleman movie totally sucked
Which would be why I never looked into Hellboy, non?

Both of them have a big red guy and since my subconscious put them together like that, I will trust my super-brain is right.

I like the hellboy comics quite a bit

, get confused sometimes by the art style but its great to read
Verbose
Dec 31 2007, 04:30 AM
I've never even read the comics.
In fact, I only have the vaguest idea of who Hellboy is. Comics are not easy to come buy reliably in my country. Not without a trip to the city and that's more train-catching and walking than I like.

Poor Ron Perlman. The only time he looks okay is if you dress him up in a monster suit.
He looks far scarier with the make-up off.

True, true.
Have you seen Blade 2?
He really does look scary

You know, it took me forty minutes to realise that each movie in the Blade "trilogy" was made as though the others hadn't been?
That's bad marketing, right there. And what's with Whistler? That guy needs to get a saving throw already.

Same with norman osbourne in the spider man films bowen
I didn't see the second two Blade's, mainly because I heard they sucked arse.
Verbose
Dec 31 2007, 01:40 PM
The first was a lot more interesting.
If you're ever in the market for watching a naked black man and later some CG violence, the second two are okay. Of course, it becomes a bit redundant since you know that there'll be no repercussions from the actions in it so they go a little crazy with the results.
But I do like Ryan Reynolds. He's like a benign force for good and it fascinates me.
