"Why Cale, what big nose you have!

"
Maybe they need to find someone who has the ability to communicate with the elementals, so that they would just go back to sleep like the irritated monsters they are.
That'd be my solution, but of course, who has telepathy here?...
Maybe Richard? He tried negotiating with Sand Dragon to convince them that he's the Alpha Male. Though failed miserably, it's worth a shot.

It
is a water elemental that comes in per "air drop". Sentient rain that drown you. Sneaky. Very sneaky. Good thing they can't do that in D&D, or at least no game designer ever had that idea. (A water elemental that can split like an ooze and rejoin itself? Oh dear.) I wonder if one of the twister-like air elementals launched the water elemental into the air. Those water elementals look like giant amoeba, eek!
So, four elemental types, all working together. Odd. Come on, that village is
toast. Arrows against elementals, what good is that going to do? Those palisades won't hold 5 seconds against the rock elementals, not to mention fire just burning them up, and if the air and water elementals are not bound to one shape they can simply wiggle through small spaces or flow over the walls.
If the chalice is in the village, give it to the elementals and run! Cottages can be rebuild. Lives can't.

That blue ornamentation on his shirt? At first I thought it was a chain of office, but the blue
[s]quares didnt seem to be connected to anything or each other.
I suppose Lar simply forgot to draw them on this page, similar to the small clasp and chain on the front of Tavor's outfit that held his shouldercape closed over his chest in earlier pages, but later vanished.

But still, regular water (and shower water thank goodness) does not sweep you up into a huge wave of doom.

Woot, fuzzy Krunch! He could've used just a bit more fuzziness, though.

And wet Cale is HI-larious. XD Glad to see Richard isn't the only one getting humiliated... What will happen to Benny and Sooba now, I wonder?
And yes, Cale's expression shows he's actually suspicious now, as opposed to 'WHAT? The noble Lord Gaten, tricking us? How could you! That kind and brave and noble leader, he would never....'.
As much as I'd love suspecting Gaten, though, in this case Cale's suspicion doesn't seem to be justified. Tobrian's already beat me to it. Yes, it's not regular rain but a water elemental raining itself down. See how Gaten shouts 'MOVE!', spotting in horror the water trickling beneath him? If the water elemental had come at them from above or from the side, as it may first seem, not only would Cale have certainly spotted it, but Gaten probably also wouldn't be staring at his foot like that. So I assume the water elemental just splooshed itself up and around them.
Although it does make it seem as though Gaten is rather knowledgeable about the elementals. Of course, it's possible he's familiar with that trick from an earlier elemental attack, but from what I've come to assume, the elementals haven't mounted any MAJOR offensive up to this point, and have instead been launching small but steady skirmishes.
So yeah, this may not be it yet, but something's definitely fishy here... o_o
And WOAH, Cale's nose is rather frighteningly big. O.O

They won't be able to defeat all of them. Their only hope is to figure out what that chalice does and act acordingly.
Odd though that a human village and lord popped out of nowhere near Kethenecia. I know they changed the time-space jigawahoosits but if they did, then the city was there all along when the first colonists came, how then is the city not sacked or repopulated by these villagers?

Cale reminds me of one of the Freak Brothers (can't recall there names, only read one issue).
I agree with whoever it was who said return the chalice to the elementals, it's certainly what they're after (probably part of some ancient horde and the elementals are just guardians)

WHAT?! The only thing we see of Richard is the top of his cowl?! COME ON NOW!
*fume* I'll get over it, theres almost a hundred pages of Richardy goodness, and he has his own video, and his was the first figure to come out. Richard is still AWESOME. Moving on.
Awwww, fuzzy Krunch. Heh, I can see it....

Krunch: Fire it up warlock. All of it.
Richard: Why? You're gonna toss me at that puddle ten times my size and expect it to do something?!
Krunch: Just do it, Dick.
Richard: *FWOOSH* That's it, prepare to face my wrath! *FWOOSHFWOOSHFWOOSH*
Krunch: Ahhh. *moves Richard around like a hair-dryer*
You know, this page brought forth something thats been on and off my mind for a while now. The weather in the groups' world has always been nice. (With the exception of Richard-induced hail storms). While it does appear that the rain and such was just a water elemental, the cloudscape is still stormy now. It's about time we had some sort of weather variation around here...

Nothing much to say that hasn't already been said, other than where's Pella in that last shot of the group? She seems to have vanished.
Eternal's already pointed out that one of the fire elementals is holding a tree--and it's not burning. I don't think it's because of the rainstorm, because there are no raindrops to be seen in the last panel.

I'm a little curious... both Krunch and Benny's eyes turn red when they're pissed off. Is that just artistic symbolism (the red eyes showing us how angry they are) or do the eyes LITERALLY turn red?

I can answer that one...in a temperate climate, freshly cut deciduous trees don't burn very well at all. They are full of sap and have no resin to get them lit. That's why you hardly ever get forest fires in more northern climes. So, maybe the Ketten wastelands have become far more damp?

Upon thinking things over we're not so sure that Vatay is Cale's last name after all. It might acually be the word of king in some other language or something like that. When they were getting all formerly introduced by Milos on page 97, Milos didn' say Vatay. Everyone else go their full names stated, so why leave out Cale? Of course this might have been a typo or something....Hmm now we're really not sure...Anyone have any ideas?
