I guess this can be the 'LFG In Real Life' thread revisited, since the last one was lost in The Great Forum Dump of '07. And there really is such a need for it.
Have you ever come across something IRL that you just couldn't help but associate with LFG? Or maybe come across something IRL that was blatantly associated with LFG? Someone on the bus humming SYW, the house stickers display at WalMart mysteriously rearranged to spell out 'For Pony'?
Or maybe you get your military issued cold weather workin gloves (that you promptly lose within the week), and can't help but notice the logo looks a little familiar.

Seriously. I actually noticed it on the gloves first, because there the 'feathers' weren't jagged and there wasn't as much of a hook to the 'beak', but either way you look at it this logo bears an uncanny resemblance to Richard.
What sucks is I deliberately colored the logo on the gloves to make it look more like Richard, partly because it'd be cool, mostly because they would be easier to identify if ever lost. But I still lost them. X[

I honestly think I do though. I was going through my non-LFG related comics, and I've only come up with one good one since I started reading. Everything else has been LFG. Nice and all, but it's not mine.
Not that I'm gonna cut back on the comic though, maybe just drawing stuff related to it.
Oooh, but I have so many good ideas...

I went to a sushi bar for lunch today. I guess the California roll I had looked like some hapless murder victim of Richard's. Like.... chopped up and neatly placed into a seaweed roll and them another layer of rice. Or something.
Hey, you never said it had to make sense.

We're not sure, probably not though. It looked kinda old....and not full of giant robots.

Then you obviously don't read the comic enough. XP

Nope. But you do notice a lot of IRL stuff similar to xkcd. During a lecture at Yale, in which Richard Stallman participated, was suddenly interrupted by a group of students dressed as ninjas, while someone sent a katana to Stallman himself, a reference to the xkcd issue

It is amazing how can some webcomics affect people's lives if they're really good. Ctrl+al+del for example, is another famous example with its Winter-een-mas holyday, even though in cases like this its a matter of self-promotion. In lesser cases like simple coincidences and accidental quoting however, its the essence of the comic that really matters. When a comic is really good, you'll find yourself quoting it regularly and (even sometimes) reproducing certain scenes/gags in IRL situations.
Specifically, the only worthwhile gag on LFG i found myself compelled to quote in certain situations was the "For Pony" battlecry. Still, LFG is a quite a young comic. Lets see how it evolves.

We're fairly certain that the referance Clerks made is acually to another movie called Freaks.
On another note, theres this post card with a shocking silhouette resemblance to Richard that was purchased today.

Well, post it up here! Wait, you don't have a scanner, do you? Doesn't your school/place of work/local library/random strangers house have one you can use?

If we did, we would have posted all the others stuff up here already. Only one person in the area that we are aware of owns a scanner that we can use, but its like you have to make an appiontment with him or something, its ridiclus.
Oh but Christmas will be a time for a scanner recieval.
