Witch (Serenity) and leetle Portal (Alexandra/Alex) XD Does anyone else see the irony in Portal tormenting Robert with a super soaker? (This is before he has his powers, lulz.) P.S., Witch is trying very hard to be stern, instead of laughing.

UNFORTUNATELY, my scanner is STUPID and is determined to only pick up hard lines, leaving most of my sketch-sketches to cry in a corner because they get RUINED FOREVER.

I got bored and then I got inspired, so I drew a couple sketches of Portal in her casual gear, all in one confusing page. Portal is so awesome she transcends the land of "makes sense," okay? OKAY. My scanner was STILL BEING STUPID (it always is), but whatever, it's still good. Kinda.



The bottom right ... I'm not sure if that's just her normal, happy/adrenaline junkie grin, or if that's her you pressed my Berserk Button and you're going to die in a horribly grotesque fashion now face. Either way, it's pretty cool. (Her hat isn't gone, so it's not that one, but mess with Robby and you fucking die. So.)

What Sayuri's Been Up To....

This was a little something I've been working on between classes and finally finished today. Though Portal is not nearly as awesome as when Rayne draws her, I think it is still rather amusing. Now what would be even funnier is if I drew a whole bunch of people dressed fancily in the background, and then draw another little part with Portal saying something like ' You always wear suits! I figured that was your casual!'. What also amuses me is how it looks like Robert tried for a casual look...FAIL!



Oh and the text in the background...that was the homework I did it on the back of...Yah scrap paper!!!

I probably wouldn't have put this on lined paper if I expected it to turn out so well, this was the first time I drew this guy after all, I wanted to draw a jacket on him but this is the best torso I've ever drawn so far. It looks a little distorted because of a wrinkle from heavy pencilling near the heair and eyes though. His name is lutno as you can see in the top right corner, that's not my handwriting. anywho he's a dark and sarcastic individual, age 18 blah blah, made him up myself by the way. I did this picture af few times I felt like drawing, and over a long weekend. Shading was easy, making up my mind with the lower body the torso ratio was annoying. i'm pretty proud of this one, best drawing of a human being ever so far...

This is called a font booklet. They're designed to showcase a particular font. I selected Grotesque MT Std to do my 6 page final on. It's not actually due for another 4 weeks but I decided to just knock it out.

First page of the booklet is the cover page


Second page is the history of the font - I'm still kinda working on page 2, I actually wanted the text to be more evenly spread across the bottom but it is a lot of information and I was having a hard time keeping it from being so evened out that it became unreadable. So I went the totally opposite direction and made it broken up and just as unreadable.


Third page showcases the upper and lowercase of the font


Fourth page shows the number, symbols and punctuation of the font


Fifth page is a showcase page, tho I think I went to simplified with it, yes it's set in the proper art deco style but eh.. I may change out this one. Not sure yet tbh.


Sixth page is the credit page, gotta give credit when credit is due

As I said in the JJ...

done as a last minute birthday idea for Dream. Im no expert at anime and try to stay away from it but i thought it turned out well.. (in photo Baeron von Bleat, Steakonaplate, Dreamweaver, and Rayne with her gitter and orange socks..)

a lot of my friends find this one outstanding, but dragons are easy for me to draw. Her name is Stalix
as you can see, the ink smudged a tad bit before it dried, and I took out the notes I put at the side because they're not important.



best landscape drawn so far! I don't like the foothills but I love the trees I put on it. I did the trees by speckling the hills with teeny feathery arrows, and it took me around a week and a half to finish just the foothills. Other than that, best drawing I have of the white lioness, the male is kinda good, but this is before I actually figured out how to draw the side view of a cat's muzzle

Work in progress (again) of Luc and Malcolm. Credit goes to my good fried Sarah for putting Luc on a park bench and sketching that out for me.

I just could not resist the creative urge for this one. This is Fenra, a character I'll use for the next CoH RP. I rushed the legs and tried a new drawing strategy for them which is why they look tuby and unrealistic. If anyone says "Why does she have a mustache" I'm gonna bang my head on the computer out of extreme dissatisfaction toward the drawing.

I used a different shading technique involvong a ballpoint pen, and smudging it with a cotton swab. (I wish I could've been able to use one of those cosmetic applicators with a more narrow tip and another flattened end...) It seems that the scanner picked up more blue from the blue pen I used to blend the color of the pants than my eyes could.

and finally there's a rat in the drawing to demonstrate her abilities, bored out of her mind, Fenra's messing with it's tiny mind and making eat antifreeze The demonstration unfortunately is obsolete.

Courtesan - update



Still have quite a bit of work to do but I'm getting there. Quickly threw together a basis for my background, tone/light etc. Deepened down the reds of her clothing and started darkening down the shadow some so she would fit better with the newly established background.

Started working on the brass/bronze accessories and gems. Probably another week or so and I'll have it finished (i do these digital paintings while I'm sitting around at work heh, so they can take me some time to finish)

Here's my rough sketch of Laplace, an RP character of mine. The image is blurry because I still don't have a real scanner.

I'm not sure what's up with the random reddish/pinkish streak in there, but whatever.

Anyway, that would be Lacey Tanner. Those dots are shiny beads and tiny bells, her outfit is a bunch of random neon colors, her hair is bubblegum pink (bleached/dyed from black), and her eyes are gold (contacts; her real eye color is dark brown).

I screwed up a bit on the face, but I can't bring myself to care too much, considering that ALL OF HER is just a bunch of fail. XD

Also, the paper was a bit wrinkly.

I am sad.

Edit: In case you can't tell, she's wearing genie pants, and the thing in the back is a ... I'm not sure what it really is, but let's just say it is akin to an upside down paper fan, with wide silk ribbons hanging onto the overlap on the sides.

Edit2: And for your viewing pleasure, I give you- TEMARI. And it is full of fail. It was part of a meme.

Don't ask. I hate my scanner.



Edit3: As you might have gathered, I did that one in pen. Hence the scribbling on the foot, which is the most notable screwup.

yeah! finished it! I put this one off for a while to work on another drawing. Better than the other concept drawing, which is good because this guy is more important than Lutno. This is a character I came up with for the series I'm writing by the way.

And yes, Malcolm on the bottom left... his face got a little fucked up because my pen is stupid. Whatever. And yes, his hand is supposed to be closer than the rest of him, but I forgot to draw a line to signify a slightly bent elbow.

Okay, before any die hard DC fans get on my ass, I stole the costume idea and the pose from the Batman: Arkham Asylum's Riddler. This isn't what I officially want me character to wear, but I find that I really like it, and with a few added or subtracted items, it will be amazing.



Unfortunately my pencils weren't very sharp, so the colors are a little duller than I'd like.

EDIT: Oh my god, that mistake on his mouth looks even worse than before I scanned it. *hides in shame*

Here's my self portrait I did in art class two years ago:

Think I'm done with it.. There still a-lot more I could do, but I feel myself (as usual) getting bored with it. I should really take a background course or something too, I'm absolutely fail at backgrounds... it's the part of this painting that pisses me off the most, besides her hand of course...but I was getting bored at that point and didn't put much effort into making it look right.


but.... on to something New!!! Think I'm going to re-created an older painting I was never really satisfied with...

Rough sketch of a piece of the large mural I have planned. Exasperated Malcolm is exasperated. Drunk Luc is bleargh.

I'm starting to enjoy drawing anthropomorphics. But this isn't a tue human/animal. She's a human, transformed to take an anthropomorphic form to achieve strength and power, just another super-saiyan thingie It was intended to be a sketch so I didn't add any demonstrations of her power, shading, or coloring the facial markings black.

She's my main character, I haven't drawn her much because I can't seem to draw her the way I imagined without people not understanding the fact that she's a girl Her name is Silvane Bestia, Aruns' fraternal twin/rival, one image I have of her in her human form I've been working on digitalizing with microsoft paint because we can't get an advanced image editting program, but I'm so glad I got a graphics pad for christmas

Sometimes, if I like a little doodle I've made on the side of my paper, I'll scan it and go over it with my tablet. This is one of a character I've been drawing since about 9th grade (currently a senior now), equal parts inspired by Captain Tah'vraay and Malcolm Reynolds from Firefly (but with a face I assure you).

my characters, hayate and princess nyoko

I decided to change this drawing a little to seem a little more like the kind of character I intended for this guy to have. I decided to remove the teeth, and intensify the shading, and change it slightly around the face.......my scanner sucks

The little girl is my main protagonist, but this isn't the present time of the plot. for those of you who just don't understand this for any other weird reason, the man is her daddy, and I intended this to show the activities that take place between a good parent and his child what was it called................um... bonding

I didn't want to give him a typical american father/business person look(he's the king of his country) but I guess I brought it in anyway. His daughter was raised more like a prince than a typical female royal family member.

I made this in like, twenty minutes on Adobe Illustrator.



It lost a bit of quality being printed then rescanned, but I like it.

I haven't started the backgrounds yet, but I finished these not too long ago.



My scanner kind of messed up the blue one, though.
