Yes, it's a Zombie Rhinocerus fighting a Dragon thiny

Hadn't really planned on posting this around, but I'm just so darn proud... It's the lineart for a character I'm going to be putting into an OCT over on dA. By the way, the thing she's holding - it's kinda like a lightsaber, but it loops around back into itself. A friend help to come up with that. ^^

Was fooling around drawing arms and such when this guy sprang out. I'm not complaining.

Now I'm working on tightening down her skin tone, hair and wing texture. I'm getting closer and closer to finished. This is only at 1600 x 1600 jpg, the one i actually work on digitally is 6000x6000 pixels. I'd love to upload that one so you can zoom in and really see the paintwork but it's like 10mb even as a jpg haha.

My plan is, at whichever point I finish it, is to print it up on canvas and then clear glaze it to 1. seal it and 2. to give it a bit of realistic textureing when light hits it when hung up.

Double post, yeah, but I couldn't wait to share.

Okay, so since I was bored waiting for COH: WOH to start (you know who you are), I decided I would try to sketch Witch. I had a few trial and error pictures (I wasn't sure how to go about making strawberry blonde hair with colored pencils and whatnot), and then I just randomly had an idea due to the puppet mistress. I know you said she'd never make a hero her puppet, but it wouldn't get out of my head and I needed the inspiration ANYWAY so I just went "screw it" and drew this. (Here are a few cool angles I did for the hell of it, along with a closeup of her three-colored boots which I want. I dislike the lower legs though.)

I decided that I absolutely loved her hair, but I still had no idea for a face (hence the differences in face shape and whatnot), so I just decided to wing it from there on out.

Then I did this one.




I love this one. So much. Mostly because of, again, the hair. You might not notice but her eyes are filled in. -shrugs-

I have a couple more but I have yet to take pics. I cannot has scanner. Sad face.

So we had a test in Biology today, and I was thinking about doing a little CoH creative writing when I was finished. I got out a piece of paper...and couldn't bring myself to write so I doodled. Most of the paper doesn't make sense, but his lovely started out as a plain old hat...because Witch needs one. Then as I was adding in the wrinkles, I realized it kinda looked like a face, so I made a face. No it is not the sorting hat! But the glasses....yah I could see how all the people I showed it too thought it was.

King knows who this is. I think.

(I would like to point out that I haven't ever drawn a tuxedo jacket, a fedora, goggles or a button down shirt in my life. Ever. I had to use ref pictures, which is probably the only reason it's of a decent quality. Also, those pants are supposed to be leather. Damn it. I also messed up the mouth... lulz.)

At first I was pissed that my scanner refuses to color balance the magenta, then I realized it looks so much cooler in gray-scale.

Though not nearly as amazing... (nor colorful if it was in color XD) as Rayne's creation, Portal (see above post) I give you her brother! Well hopefully. Most of it is just speculation and fun.

Yes. You do. And so do I...anyone looking at this does! I drew this today after one of my friends did something fail like during lunch, and I borrowed their markers and finished it in Spanish Class. Everyone thought it was amusing and I pulled it out at random friends for the rest of the day. Then I showed it to my father...at which he said 'glad to know you're learning.' XD

And yes, Portal has some abs on her. =/ I just don't draw them very well... it's been a while since I've drawn bare midriffs, lulz. When she's not wearing the tux outfit she wears cropped purple turtlenecks under a white leather racecar-style jacket. Yup. Think Kim Possible, only purple.

I've had Emily Dickinson poem "Death" rolling around in my head for like 2 weeks. What a better way to burn that outta ones system than by doing a typography project on her. yay TYPE!!!





Typography Week 2 Assignment. Instructor -Mike Carnegie

2 font types & 6 font anatomy parts. Tho I have to redo it, he wanted each letter in it's onw 3x3 square on a matt board and they needed to be tightened down more. So back to the drawing board... literally heh.

Alright these are a few crude drawings I made over the summer of some characters from the books I've written. Now they're of pretty poor quality and its made worse by the fact I had to take them with the camera on my phone but here goes.
First off here's my sketch of The'kar:

This one came out pretty well regardless of the fact that the paper's been fucked over a few times by people like my dad (who wrote a phone number on it without looking to see if it was anything other than a blank sheet, I had to cover the number over with white out) and my phone's camera sucks.
Now here's one of Mister Magnificent:

This one I decided to color because black and white just doesn't work in this case. The main defect other than the lack of expression in the face and the poor coloring job is the fact that the arms are way too short.
Here's the Polar-Man:

This one's pretty terrible, I couldn't get a good shot without blurring it for some reason.
Anyways those are just a few pathetic examples.
