Eternal wanderer
The epic story told by Krunch on pages 55 and 56 was rudely interupted once, anyone have any theories how they were slaughtered? (Please don't put in Richard's genocidal theories, those are just to easy.)

Sorry if this has been posted before...

Humans revolted and took over? That would explain why there were humans and such ruling the city when Cale and the others time traveled.
Eternal wanderer
Unlikely, since they nipped every little revolt in the bud (Gosep being a possible leader). Remember how well the dragon's supped well that eve?
NE_have_rabies
Yes, well perhaps the humans were empowered by something? Like... rabid Richard fangirls ensuring that Richard comes along eventually in the time line >.<

I don't know really... Maybe the elves helped out o_O;;

But the eight dragons were still hanging around in the catacombs, and they mentioned that they had tried to "steer" Kethenecia for a thousand years and mold it and the surrounding country according to their ideals, for purity and justice and mom's applepie. Although I still do not 100% trust these dragons, I trust the archmage even less. Something was very rotten in the state of Kethenecia.

We still don't know if the elves, gnomes, trolls, catpeople, lizardmen, minotaurs and all the other species we're seen are descended from the first cavemen humans. Maybe bred by dragons, like we have bred wolves into all sorts of differently shaped dog races?

In the future though, all remaining dragons are huge, four-legged and winged. Where do these winged dragons of the Legion come from, if the Circle of Eight in the catacombs 3,000 years ago was the last emnant of the draconic race and Tavor slaughtered them all? Or do I missremember something here?
Lunaya
I assumed that the eight Tavor killed were progenitors of the other dragons. Pella did say that they were in the presence of the first.
NE_have_rabies
I say that the modern dragons are the result of inbreeding.
Lunaya
That too. =P
NE_have_rabies
Perhaps after the attack on their kind, they decided to hand over the kingdom to the humans, but to sit back in the shadows and help them govern? I don't know.

Dare i ask... Breed with what?
NE_have_rabies
Themselves! Like... generation after generation of sleeping with your sister kinda inbreeding...

>.<
Eternal wanderer
So how does sleeping with one's sister allow them to turn that big and able to fly?
NE_have_rabies
Hey, I'm no geneticist.
Lunaya
They got stupid and lost the ability to speak.
NE_have_rabies
And sprouted wings.
Lunaya
The dragons in Krunch's story did have wings. They just couldn't use them to fly.
NE_have_rabies
Well, you know what I mean sleep.gif The stupid offspring ripped their wings out and made them fly-worthy.

lemme just point this out:

go down, the Lord of Darkness IS richard, same eye color.

Maybe that 'warlock thing' is being able to tell when people are talking about him?
MantaLord
...

Richard made the end part up, it's not actually partt of Kruch's Tale.
Vorin
Eh, you're right.
Rip Van Ishmael
Who knows. With the way this comic is written, it might actually turn out that Richard was telling the truth.

Never know....
