If Benny is a priestess, cleric, healer, white mage, class; can she 'accidentally' use a turn undead spell on a certain undead warlock? It should have a noticeable effect. It could be a very amusing 'toy' or 'game'. Benny and Krunch seem to be able to keep Richard in line well enough that it almost seems like it has been threatened or maybe used already.

I don't think Benny is actually strong enough ro turn Richard. But it would be amusing to watch her try.

I think they recognize that Richard would blow holes in them before they could get close if they ever tried to ACTUALLY hurt him.

And honestly, if Richard really wanted to do something, I doubt Krunch or Benny would be able to stop him.

Rebuke undead/turn undead just makes undead runaway, it doesn`t kill undead. If benny tried it richard would probably resist it anyway, if not then runaway uncontrollably.

If she somehow had enough power, rather than turn, she could actually destroy undead. But something tells me benny isn't the DND equivelent of a good priest. Afterall, her healing spells heal richard... therefore, by dnd variant, she's using Inflict spells. Possibly she's an evil cleric in that case, so it would be Rebuke or Command in that case.

WoW variant priests don't have turn undead, iirc. I believe thats all paladins.

Wouldn't an evil cleric still be able to turn undead? Isn't there also a control undead spell or something along those lines? It doesn't necessarily have to be Benny either, the Arch-mage does still seem to have a future in LFG.

I don't know too much about the magiks in DnD, I always play a fighter or other pure melee character, so don't really too much about the non melee stuff. I dont play WoW either. LFG doesn't really follow DnD, WoW, everything else completely, right, and there haven't been any real 'levels' or 'stats' officially presented, have there, so do levels and experience matter too much?

Stats are never presented, this isnt based off a DnD campaign so there wont be stats. This is in its own world but it still keeps true to basic fantasy elements. Clerics healing and even alignments.

That was why I covered both, and made note of which would be which. And no, evil clerics can't turn undead. Its rebuke.

And no, the comic is not based purely from dnd, or wow, or any other source. As far as we know, Benny may not even be able to turn undead (sans the WoW variant, which also makes those nifty instant cast shields). So since we have no basis for determining the answer to such a question, we have to make guesses around systems we do know, which it has mimicked at least a few times. D&D and WoW are two, and so we can only analyze those (and any others, but those are the two I know well).

In short, no we can't determine an answer. But we can use outside sources which influence the comic to make a Know (guess) check. And given those two systems, and a thorough analysis thereof, I would say Benny can't turn Undead.

NOTE: This is not an argument to say she can't, just that on the basis of both DND and WOW she cannot. Its a guess with a high percent chance of error based on all information gatherable.

*sigh* Yes yes, it's nice how the Richard fankids already know the outcome of a fight that hasn't even happened, because Richard is just so awesome he's the most powerful character ever. (sarcasm)

Benny does have shielding magic that was able to stop even dragon breath weapons, and she seems to be able to manifest these shields pretty much at the blink of an eye, or she wouldnt be able to stop an arrow flying at her.
And Lord Stoll's shamans were able to neutralize Richard's magic completely and zap him with a spell so that he "fainted".

But Benny is not a D&D cleric, despite having healing and ressurection spells.

Yes we know Benny can block missles, magical or otherwise, but its still fun to think of her as a walking corpse doing Richard's bidding. (I can already imagine some of the possible gags )

Well why cant just Benny use the turn undead next time she heal him from stabs, arrows, axes, swords, magic, evil creatures, Sooba and singing dwarfs from another time ?

Beeny seems like even if she was to become undead, she wouldn't be anyones minion, let alone Richard's. I don't really see Richard wanting her as a minion. Seems he prefers the 'little-helpless-easy-to-[literally]-kick around type.

Early (like, in the first five pages) in the comic, he makes a comment about the sisterhood or whatever, female-oriented clerics revoking their no-psycho killer policy, and he should think about joining.

Maybe if Benny became undead she could be part of the Brothers of Darkness?
