Hehe, I just noticed. In the first panel, you see Richard walking by a cute little blue bird perched on a branch. In the panel where Richard senses something, the branch is burnt to a cinder with no sign of the bird. Looks like Krunch couldn't rain on Richie's parade completely.

I dunno, it doesn't looks off to me. It looks more like he squishing it into his face.

If we see his face, I hope his jaw isn't missing. That means all this time, he's been doing ventriloquism spell to speak

I'm wondering if Cale is doing some sort of reverse psychology on himself. I've seen people do that a lot. They keep saying one thing when really, they still firmly believe in something else. Something like this...
"Why are you doing this?"
"Because it's the normal thing to do. The normal thing to do. The normal thing to do. The normal thing to do."

The only way he'll snap out of this self-hypnotism is if someone is gonna tell him that what he's used to be is all right and that he should go back the way he was. But then, again, what good does that really do for Cale...

that line "You are looking well" went funny with the way Hctib was clutched onto Richard's head lol

I know Sohmer and Lar do these ahead of time, but I wonder if they didn't do some of Krunch's dialogue to address all the emo/now evil Cale callers. And remind everyone that Krunch is not evil.

I'm not sure about the songbird. Probably Richard, but maybe a miss by Hctib?

And kudos to all those calling Richard with arms wide open to Hctib. Not quite how anyone described, but still fun.

i liked the serious krunch-cale time, i wanted a bit more. thats the frustrating bit of comics, and webcomics particularly. its so hard to get serious character development/discussion. but hey i love this strip! i quite enjoyed today's

As far as todays comic goes, good. Notice in the few shots of Cale he's been ramrod straight? If nothing else, his loss of innocence has improved his posture.

I love the imp's name. Just so fitting if Richard is a WoW style warlock. ...The other way around, at least.

btw, why is it that the only thing you can see of Pella is her arm? No appropriate songs? and another btw, are her songs supposed to be a Dune reference?

Not exactly certain, but I'm certainly anticipating a song in the next update since we've got Hctib and all. A fight's bound to start.

They're not focusing on characterizing Pella right now, which could mean she is indeed destined to be a minor character. But they're REALLY focusing on Cale now, and also introducing this new plot arc with Hctib Elttil. And of course they're not gonna have her singing here, it's really not appropriate just now. o.O It would be in the way of the comic, not to mention the entire lower half of the comic is a high-pitched, loud, "EEEEEE!"

Does Sooba really count as Richard's companion? He's still technically Cale's .... technically.

Technically, since companions are disposable to Richard. I really doubt Cale's loyalty has dimmed even though he's lost a sense of innocence.

I'd like to know how Cale loosing his innocence will eventually lead him to become king in the Archmage's designs, and I think Hctib is after the fork of truth.

Speaking of which, I'm guessing the whole swordie thing got flushed right? Shame I was soo looking forward to an angry Cale, but this new emo one seems promising

In the first frame you can see Richard looking at the bird so it's a safe bet that Richard's the culprit.

Mind you, it makes me wonder what I've missed in previous comics. I may have to catch up all over again.

Succy: Traumatized by Richard 'bashing' (saying she isn't sexy at all), possibly charred, thus really no longer as 'sexy' as her friends, and thus teased mercilessly. Died by hanging with her own whip.

Felguard: Pissed Richard off with his damned "mightier-than-thou" attitude; dusted. Literally.

I offically love mondays now. I really do. The Cale/Krunch exchange was nice and all, but this one's gotta be all about Richard. And Hctib. And Hctib violating Richard's face.

I love how he [Richard] greets him too, I can imagine it being all upbeat and bubbly, like a soccermom seeing one of her children's best friends mothers right after they got out of rehab for trying to kill themselves and their kids. You know, a sorta, 'Veronica! Hi!!! When did they let you out? ' kinda thing.

And where did Richard's belt go? Did Hctib try to disrobe him before latching onto his face like something from Alien or did Richard actually manage to find some obscure body part back in Kethencia to make one with, thus making it harder to see?

Oh yea, one more thing. Sooba seems to have gotten a bit chunky. Spent too much time lazing around watching Richard's antics?
