Dammit bookworm, I was going to make one like that (well, with Richard in as well though).

Needless to say I think your motivator is rather brilliant.

D.E.H.T.A. Is a quick reference to world of warcraft.

You recognizing it's a WoW reference makes you a nerd too. tongue.gif

Now, now, it's not being a nerd, it's being an Esoteric American (or other nationality), for want of a more MMORPG-savvy term. At least I'm not a gnome. Well, except for one rogue and one DK, neither of whom has either pink hair or pigtails. Somehow, a DK, with pigtails, particularly pink ones... *cringe* It jsut doesn't say "evil" or "Scourge bait", now, does it? IMHO, of course.

Anyway, your recgnizing with it being mentioned that the "nerd" thing was a WoW reference, well.... One Of Us! *maniacal laughter resonates*

I was going to do a Dr. Seuss one since Thumb, Thumb, Handprint, Nose reminded me of "One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish", but thought Wingdings was more appropriate

Hey I resent tha.... Ah, who am I kidding. Any long time poster round here would qualify as a nerd.

Bonus nerd points if ya get this reference!

I really prefer the term dork to nerd. As Milhouse pointed out it implies a love of unpoplar with mainstream society or solitary hobbies but without the connotation of intelligence ( or appearance stereotypes for that matter ).

I lurk here and am entertained by most of you however I have yet to figure out a photoshop type program and can't participate properly.

Pulp Fiction?

No way it was Pulp Fiction, I'm a Pulp Fiction dork the only movie I've seen more times is Who Framed Roger Rabbit. The Noodle Incident would make no sense and the closest they came to that kind of torture line was something along the lines of 'I'm gonna call a couple of -censored- hitting -censored- and were gonna go to town on this -censored- -censored- -censored-" Censoring to cover how poorly I remember quotes and to keep me from being banned due to the language in Pulp Fiction.

Hmmm... Well, the noodle thing reminded me of a phallic reference I saw somewhere else on this forum but couldn't remember where, and I distinctly remember the black dude in Pulp Fiction (who got violated before Bruce Willis went samurai and slashed up the first hill billy) saying he was gonna call up a couple of goons (censorship) with pliers and a blowtorch. I checked, that's exactly what he said - pliers and a blowtorch. But then, Eternal Wanderer is the only one who can say if I was right or not. smile.gif

If it helps, MS-Paint is resident on most systems. I don't have photoshop, As for mainstream society, sometimes I question its intelligence, so you may well be right on either count. With the "intelligence" thing, well... In World of Warcraft we do have a little something, known as Barrens Chat, which is best avoided, for the most part (although lately, the trade channel in a lot of major cities has become what I refer to as "The New Barrens Chat": it's supposed to be for trade, and not for general inanity).

To help those who aren't catching the noodle incident reference.

Here's a hint. It also involved an imaginative prepubescent boy and his large feline friend.

Calvin and Hobbes! I love them!

P.S. Calvin and Hobbes + Pulp Fiction? An odd combo, I must say. But the poster is still funny. biggrin.gif
