There are some things money can't buy. For everything else, there's babies.
Frozen_Sun
Babies should have greater global economic value.
Lunaya
After all, babies are one commodity that third world countries have no shortage of. Their financial problems would be over.

...Holy crap. Did I just type that? I need a Kit-Kat bar. Now!
NE_have_rabies

I think I like you better with out the candy, Lu XD
Lunaya

Well, I wouldn't know if you were fat, so me calling you that isn't likely and wouldn't make much sense. I do, however, love your psychosis n__n <3
Lunaya
Hehe. Well, I've got pictures posted somewhere in the General Discussion threads...or at least I did. *runs to delete photos* That's better. sleep.gif
NE_have_rabies

I reminds me of A Modest Proposal by... agh, I can't remember his name now, but it was during the enlightenment in England where poor women were spewing out babies because they couldn't keep their legs closed OR get an abortion, so he (satirically, unfortunately) suggested that children who couldn't be supported be raised only for a year, and then when they're nice and plump, sell them off as a delicacy.

Haha, I remember reading parts and bits of the book he wrote :-) Good times, Rae, good times.

It was Jonathan Swift, the man who wrote Gulliver's Travels

I hated the cartoon they made of that book. The Gulliver's one. The voices they had were so annoying >.< But that's just how they did things back then I guess >.>
Grym
I feel the same way about manga-anime.

Sorry Ghis, but just wanted to correct something.

The satire was regarding the treatment of the Irish, not overpopulation amongst the poor. Also, abortion really wasn't an issue until much later.

Check out the wiki page:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Modest_Proposal

Interestingly enough, it does mention an evangilical author who modeled a satire off Swift's work, using the same title, in an argument against abortion.
