Hands aren't that hard. The one thing that makes them look hideously awful, is that some artists can forget that the place where the pointer finger connects to the thumb is a lot lower than the places where all the other fingers connect.

Get Prismacolor.

They are amazing.

And splurge and get the 72 pack. I got the 24 pack just in case I wouldn't like them and I really wish I had gotten the 72 pack.

Those are what I used to color my comics with, btw. With just a touch of Gimp editing, but the colors all be Prismacolor.

A neat little trick is shading with colored pencils! But I'm definitely going to try to find me some markers tomorrow on my day off.
