I don't know if this is a bad idea to ask or pointless to ask, but is anyone here part of any sports orgs/sports teams?
No, I do solo sports, I find them alot more fun not having to rely on someone else. Snowboarding, windsurfing and mountain biking. Great fun.
I agree with Piper, not having to rely on others does help a bit, but nothing beats the connection of mind and body in a martial art.
I get bored quickly with solo sports. With team sports, you can't stop or else you'll let everyone else down and everything will fall apart. Once you start a race in rowing you have no choice but to be willing to die for your team, or go home with the resolve to destroy everyone around you for the inches you need to win the next time around.
But in rowing you don't get to see the look of abosolute horror on your opponent's face as you send him tumbling to the mat in disgrace.
True dat. I only get to see people vomit and collapse after races, including myself.. :|
Try spending 4 hours straight riding around the forests out here, up hills, down hills, over jumps, through rivers. I have seen many a person collapse and be sick after riding my track that I do, I cant walk once I get off the bike but still. Great fun, adrenaline.

I would try mountain biking, except there are three things that are preventing me from doing so.
1. No good trails in Seattle.
2. I can't bunny hop on a bike.
3. I went off a curb on my mountain bike and both of my tires went flat. This bike costed $400.
I'm currently paying off my computer, so I can't afford a good bike yet. I'll invest in a bike or a snowboard next though, for sure.

This would be a comic forum; No, I speak of the Lineage II server where I play. There isn't a single bit of legibility among the text but for the few gems in the crust.
