Would any one like to engage in a debate on the feasibility of hydrogen fuel cells? Or, perhaps we could have a really intelligent, academic debate hearkening back to the beginning of time on who's god is better? Alternatively we could discuss the relative importance of electrons in each of our daily jobs. Or, finally we could realize that this is a spam thread and serious discussions should be kept to serious topics.

i agree with phreddie. someone has to create a thread i can get my intellectuality out for.
IQ when eating sugar:40
IQ when not:60-90

Jul 17 2007, 09:55 PM
You realize that means you are just really dumb to mildly retarded, but that when you eat sugar you become moderately retarded?
I.Q. Is not measured on a scale of 0-100, it is merely a scale where 100 is considered average.

You want to talk about alternative fuel?
Alright, here's a question: What is the number one problem with hydrogen fuel cells today?

Jul 17 2007, 10:02 PM
Actually Alber Einstein and Thomas Edison had IQs under 80.
Really your score on those tests depends on how much you think alike the creator.

Well right now, no one is willing to commit or change over, that and how are we going to convince anyone outside of a big city to set up cell refueling stations when most people will still be driving gas or diesel powered cars.

There is only one accepted standard I.Q. test used today, at least in the States. It was originally developed by a french guy by the name of Alfred Binet. The University of Stanford liked his test, so they took and modified it, and eventually came out with the Stanford-Binet I.Q. test sometime in the 1920's. The test has evolved with changing populations but it wouldn't be used if it wasn't valid.
As for Einstein having anything below 130, I will go ahead and call the bull. The man was a genius and nothing less. All of the rumors about him being horrible in school and failing all his classes are preposterous. They all stem from one misinterpreted quote said by one of his professors at the Zurich Polytechnic Institute. The professor said the Einstein was a lazy dog who would not amount to much. This comment was provoked by Einstein's refusal to show up to his scheduled complex mathematics class, because Einstein, being the extremely stubborn person that he was, did not think that math had much bearing on theoretical physics, and therefore did not wish to waste his time upon. He was a veritable genius at math, mastering algebra at a far younger age than any of his classmates, indeed, at a far younger age than almost any one. He understood the mathematics, they were just time consuming.
As for the problem with fuel cells, I was speaking mechanically. They are not exactly feasible. The way they produce energy is by releasing energy when the form the bonds with oxygen necessary to create the common molecule known as water. However, the most common source of hydrogen is water. So, to get hydrogen we must break apart water molecules. The part that poses the greatest problem is that it takes the same amount of energy to break water molecules as is produced when creating them, so there is no left over energy to do work.

He failed because he did not attend, not because he did not understand. If you have any spare time on your hands I recommend Walter Isaacson's recent biography on Einstein, entitled
Einstein: His Life and Universe.

Be warned, it does a very good job of explaining Einstein's theories of special and general relativity. Basically, I was brain dead for one week after finishing the book, trying to forget what I had learned. It is some seriously messed up stuff.

It simply means you might have had the potential. You may lack the natural aptitude for math and science, but make up for it different areas. Like in hand dancing prowess, bathing, or skipping to your loo.
