Spyder- Yeah, in high school I was called a witch for wearing the Yin around my neck.
Maybe you misheard and they meant something that rhymes with witch.
Just a thought.
QUOTE (The Lone David @ May 17 2007, 12:38 PM)

I love religions, honestly I do. It's the people who try to force their religion on you or hat you because you dont worship like they do that piss me off.
I think the world needs a good 5-10 minute meditation break to reflect on all the problems religious intolerance has caused.
Godists will never try to hat you for not being Godist. We just mock your feeble minded rejection of the deeper perversions of life.
QUOTE (spyderjaxon @ May 17 2007, 12:39 PM)

Spyder- Judaism is the father of Christianity and Islam is our uncle... That's probably why we don't get along...we're family.
Or you're all jerks. Potato, potato, really.
QUOTE (The Lone David @ May 17 2007, 01:00 PM)

I really don't want to insult your religion but I need to ask, how can you believe in the immaculate conception thing.
And while I'm there how about Moses parting the Red Sea with a stick?
Just please explain it to me, I don't understand.
I always thought Moses passed the Red Sea with his stick. Must have been a particular translation.
Also, miracles. Acts of divine intervention. Nothing more complex.
QUOTE (spyderjaxon @ May 17 2007, 01:07 PM)

Technically Mary's conception is not immaculate, but rather not conceived by a man. God sent the Holy Spirit to Mary to conceive Christ. So technically I suppose it is something like ghost sex.
While ghost sex is fun, the Catholic stance claims Christ was a miracle and concieved without such fun as ghost sex. A lot of Protestants turn to Ghost Sex, others still believe virgin was a mistranslation (instead of meaning virgin, the word may have meant woman who hadn't yet had her period, making Joseph the paternal progenitor).
QUOTE (TheGrubz @ May 17 2007, 01:28 PM)

As for those who try to force their religion on others, I feel that any choice on belief should be voluntary, not for any reason other than it feels best for the individual.
I don't know. A lot of Godist beliefs kinda need the person to not want it. Adds to the spice.

In the cookie, clan,
Seditionists!
We settled the cookie debate long ago. It is the realm of Cake, as it is a baked good.
QUOTE (Ghislord @ May 17 2007, 11:02 PM)

And, for the record, I am an atheist and therefore, only beleive in myself.
Actually, that'd be a solipsist.
Athiests have a negative believe. They believe there is no Divinity. It's nice and simple, really.
QUOTE (Ghislord @ May 18 2007, 12:41 AM)

I am still of the Doughnut clan
An unsettled issue, but as I understand it you're also seditionists. The Cake God reigns over all baked deliciousnesses.
QUOTE (Da Hunter @ May 18 2007, 06:31 AM)

But as the leader of Bannock and other baked goods shouldn't doughnuts and cookies be friends?
The Cake God does not demand good will. Merely obedience.
