Might I ask why number 1000 is important to you? 300 was my big number but now I don't really seem to care.

Hmmm. Nothing happened. Ah well. Did you see that one thing that went down with that one guy where he did that one thing to that other guy and they were both sad?

I thought it was funny, but when you do something like that you have to laugh and call a doctor!

May 15 2007, 01:54 AM
Yeah, it reminds me of the time I went camping with the Order of the Arrow and my stupid pocket knife collapsed on my finger and I got to spend the rest of the camp out in the Pason Emergency ward getting stitches then having to to see a hand doctor and pay hundreds of dollars to get my tendon fixed.

Tee hee, I love my free health care... well my taxes pay for it but I actually don't care about paying taxes since they make the country work.
Triforceelf
May 15 2007, 05:53 AM
The thing about free health care is it means the really good doctors arnt motivated. I like my capitalistic health care system: the best are paid the most and are motivated to become so. Thats why people come to America to get the best health care. But free health care is benifical to those who could not afford it other wise, so its a bit of a double edged blade.

That's why we need a 2 speed healthcare system. A main healthcare program paid by the taxes for everyone and Private clinics that can take the more serious cases that need specialised cacre or just for those who can afford to not wait in line for hours.

aww totally should be Jabba, thats me ^^ jabber is just... wrong...
... also, free healthcare is awsome, come to england, NHS for all!!!

Countries with free health care tend to preform poorly in actually giving people health care. Plus giving everyone health care smacks a bit to much like socialism for me, so I will never advocate free health care in America. But hey, if it works for you thats fine. Just as long as you dont try to bring it here.

As long as we are a capitolist socioty, you have nothing to worry about there tri. And i dont see that happening anytime soon because it just feels so good to be "better" than others.

My problem with healthcare is that it advocates both health and care.
I like my masses sickly and apathetic.
TheGrubz
May 16 2007, 03:08 AM
But what if the sickly masses somehow come into contact with you? Will you try to assemble a quarentine around your house or something?

The thing is that I think that if we *could* make a two tier system work like Britain's (thats a big if) it should be in different clinics/hospitals with the same resources, I know I am foolish with my crazy ideas of equality through equity. I can't really support my thoughts right now since I'm now on days off and thinking just doesn't work after 7 12 hours shifts of manual labour.
I3lind
May 16 2007, 05:11 AM
By manual labor do you mean pulling your ass out of bed. I find that very labor intensive some times.

Actually, there are several bacterial infections that Penicillan never had any substantial effect on, and there are certain strains of bacteria that have become penicillan resistant. And of course, you could be like my brother and so allergic to penicillan that a single dose would kill you.
WHERE ARE YOUR WONDER DRUGS NOW?

May 16 2007, 02:46 PM
erm you have heard of amoxycillan right? its known as "artificial" penicillan, it has all the properties of penicillan AND isnt made from that crap so anyone can take it, also your referring not to the probelm that pen has no effect on the bacteria its more that to HAVE an effect you would have to use a dose that would end up killing your average joe bloggs. xD gotta love those teachers and their education systems.
Amoxy FTW!
(my sources are wikipedia, please dont beat me if i am wrong....<note to self> that seems like a good signature</note to self>)

They aren't being developed because they doesn't bring in as much money over research costs as say Viagra. Though with every one now a days being pussys and not wanting to put up with an ear infection everything is starting to become immune to antibiotics and there is only one drug right now that can kind of slow down that Super Flu that people are talking about. Can't beat that 80's style of thinking "We might be dropping like flies but at least we can still get it on!"

Spyder- Blame the biological drive to reproduce, after all, biologically, you aren't good for anything once you've fufilled your role to reproduce.

lol well being hardwired to make babies is good but is in a varying degrees in people, there are a lot of Asexuals out there.

Spyder- Societal conditioning and bad experiences. It is funny that humans are geared to enjoy it so much though. Most other animals have a specific drive to mate when mating would produce offspring and for many there is little of pleasure about it. I like my husband's take on it. "Sex is for procreation, but practice makes perfect!"

Spyder- I am so bummed. They canceled Jericho. It is the only TV show I actually watch faithfully and it's gone... I hate TV.

May 16 2007, 08:37 PM
Hmm it seemed like a good show, i watched it a few times but just to scatterbrained to remember to watch, The only show i try to watch faithfully is House.
spyderjaxon
May 16 2007, 08:44 PM
Spyder- I've seen House a few times. It's not bad, pretty decent. I usually don't get into TV precisely because I don't like feeling tied down to the schedule. Ah well, it doesn't really matter.

I just watch Heroes and Galactica, and I know that they are going to be there next year though Galactica is most likely over next year.

Spyder- Is it odd to not be able to remember your childhood? My memory is mostly empty of anything before eleven or so. Snippets here and there are all I have and usually it is only traumatic stuff.
Hunter
May 17 2007, 12:39 AM
I remember the most useless things from when I was young, but all the important stuff I couldn't begin to know, like how today is my parents aniversery and I didn't know until I seen a card this morning.

May 17 2007, 12:41 AM
Spyder- I did worse...I forgot my dad's birthday this year. I don't know how, but I did.
Hunter
May 17 2007, 12:42 AM
Well I remember my dad's because it is a week after mine, I'm hopeless for my mom's but I know it is next month, I usually just look at her Care Card or Licence to see when it is around this time of year.

May 17 2007, 12:45 AM
I can barely remember events that happened since middle-school. I think it's because I forget things ridiculously easy if it's not important to me. And for the record, the only birthday I know in my family is my brother's, and only because it was the combination for his bike lock at one point.

May 17 2007, 12:49 AM
Spyder- Well I'm glad I'm not the only one. I am surrounded by people who say "Do you remember that summer when?" or some such. And I never do.
Robomanjr
May 17 2007, 12:50 AM
Ya i hate when people do that, just like who are you? I took you home for 1 night you were supposed to leave in the morning....
darkdragonh8
May 17 2007, 12:51 AM
Well, the only times people do that for me is to remind me of stupid things I've done.
"Remember that one girl at the summer camp, Eda?"
some things are better off forgotten.
