First off holy crap!

Secondly it might have been short as all hell (I beat it in under 4 hours on easy with my headcold, this weekend my roommate and I are going to hit it up on legendary for the really Halo experience. One thing that got me what Cortana's constant yelling at me before I found her. And that ending holy shit, Hood gave a good speech and holy crap for 117 being scratched into the memorial. Then after the credits what a freaking cliff hanger! Will they be found, I say most likely but how is my and in what medium (novel, game, Mountain dew bottles???) So what do you all think?

You know what, after I reread this and am not all messed up from cough syrup, I see how bad it is. But I have to say I freaking hated the Flood levels just because you don't know where the fuck you are suppose to go, and that the Grunts and Hunters where suppose to have separated with the Elites, why the fuck am I killing Grunts but the bucketful still. As to Manta loving Samus, I lover her too, She is the reason why I bought the Wii and just play my roommates 360. And Halo 3 was over hyped, way to much it was a good (short) game but it was just like the last two.

The annoying thing is that on the day and the day after Halo 3 came out, everyone was asking "So, did you buy Halo 3? I heard you likes that stuff." Then I went into a tirade about how nobody ever understands the difference of system preference, and...

huh, well one province over and one state down if you live on a farm you get your learners at 14. But those kids should have been smart enough to pre-order anyways, that and I really hate it when there are kids at a camp. Ugh, Not MORE Halo-Hype. I'm gonna tell you why Halo really is such a good game. It isn't the gameplay, its the 10 million dollars that was poured into the advertising campaign! Advertising!

Epic storyline my arse...

Over Hype is the word you are looking for and as you can see I've derailed my thread to talk about Wii games. But where did any of us say the story like was epic. The best parts of the Halo storyline come from the novels.

As long as you're not talking about the "graphic novel," which was the most horrid piece of visually contrived 5h!+ that I've ever had the misfortune of glancing at, then I can allow for a difference of opinion.

The graphic novel made my eyes puke. That's not even physically possible.

The novels were rather poorly written, in my experience, but my experience is limited to the first couple of chapters of the first book.

Also, on the note of spoilers. DON'T YOU DARE TELL ME THEY MADE ANOTHER CLIFFHANGER ENDING.

There are two things bungie specializes in, stealing our money for overhyped games, and cliffhangers. Halo 3 combines both of these into a disc.

I have one question: Do I get to play as the arbiter?

Yup. Otherwise it'd be another year-ish till I'd be near getting it

¬¬ i am a halo disliker BUT im not one who says "i hate this game" after playing it for 10 minutes.

I beat legendary on BOTH the previous versions combo play with my friend. It took us 2 days, thats 12 hours on both, with enough room to complete half life2 after both. The reason i dislike them is not that they are easy, that doesnt make a game bad, it just makes a game loose playability. THe reason i dislike them is because they just lack that extra something. I hope to god that bunjy have added it into this new one.

I reserve the right to hate halo3, IF halo3 is bad. if its good, then i also reserve the right to LIKE it.

I can now officially participate in this conversation, as I spent the whole afternon playing halo3 with a friend.

And jabbers, I like the easiness. I don't improve at anything very fast so its no fun if I'm just sitting there dying continuously. (Althoguh that was what it was like in 'rescue cortana')

I beat it on Legendary a few minutes ago (Solo)

The ending was dissapointing, mostly because I didn't get to see the chief.

I only got up to the part where you have to beat the crap out of some reactor thingy in an old base taken over by flood... then I had to go home and I was sad... Then I found my macbook, and everything was better

I'm thinking of buying Halo 3, but i somehow resent on also buying XBox 360.... together they cost pretty much and I don't have that much time to play anymore, cause of school...

dont reconsider, not being harsh or anything but there is no other reason for buying the xbox 360 other than halo3, and that will be out on the computer eventually so.. whats the point? having a console for 1 game gets boring, and takes up space. wait a little and get the computer version, which is garunteed to have more content.

There are tons of kick ass games for the 360 better than halo 3 where have you been...

AC is out November 1st don't forget, and no way in hell is anyone gonna buy as PS3 just for that, got for the 360, because Unreal Tourney 3 is also out soon.

Don't forget Mass Effect. That game is gonna rock hardcore. I'm also waiting for news on Fable 2. As for Halo 3, I was disappointed they basically dropped the arbiter storyline in it. I was also hoping for an epic boss battle against gravemind... which of course I didn't get. But I am thinking the wacky religious covenant stuff (anyone else get the Ark of the Covenant reference?) will be more of a story line issue in Halo Wars. So if we want more story, we need to buy more games, but this is microsoft were talking about and we all knew this. I thought the controls were a lot smoother in H3... and the multi player levels far cooler than previous. I also like the new laser thing... killing guilty spark with that was a piece of cake.

Well Halo Wars is set 20 years before the Halo Trilogy, it will have more of the story just more questions that answers really. But to get more of the story you should read the books, remember they want to control all aspects of your life like freaking Mountain Dew Game Fuel.
