Imagine if you will, it's monday. You log onto your computer, and come to LFG. But...theres no update. Owell, its still early, they must not have gotten around to posting it. You check again later that afternoon. Still no update. Well, okay, maybe theres a delay. Tuesday comes, and you sign on again, excitement bubbling up within you for surely a new comic is posted.
But there's not. You check every couple of hours, and that same comic from last thursday still sits on the main page. Wednesday comes. Then thursday. It should have been updated twice by now!
This goes on for over a month. Endless days of waiting on baited breath for what happens next, countless disappointments when the page loads revealing no changes. Theres not even a notice from the artists, telling you whats going on.
*~*~*~*~*~
I read nearly a couple dozen webcomics religiously, and this happens alot more than it probably should. Even the ones that update without exception end up in hiatus for one reason or another. Servers dying, artists going on trips and not throwing together some filler to keep their readers from lynching them upon return. Or, by far the worst, the artist simply losing interest in the comic. [Poor Minus...]
So, I pose to you this question. What do you think would happen if you came here tomorrow, and nothings changed?

From what I understand from Lar and Sohmer, they're religiously precise about these things.
...unlike that SoaB who makes VGcats...

Its a hypothetical question intending to spark a discussion that, for once, isn't about Richard. Yet will undoubtedly end up that way...
The only comic I've ever seen thats never missed an update is Sinfest.

Yeah but Lars and Sohmer been doing LICD for a few years now and have only been delayed on updates. So your hypothetical situation woudl have to involve no redbull and cadbury creme eggs for sohmer. THen we know the world is coming to an end.

It will make Richard warm and fuzzy inside, then he will go kill someone and make it seem funny.

I'd lynch someone, then hang them from a building so that they're holding their own head.
Some poor sucker would be scarred for LIFE.

I think when Soh-Lar miss an update, it would be the end of the universe. When hell freezes over. Rapture, day of reckoning, judgment day....
Yeah. o_O;;

Digitally reproduced for great truth and justice.
It happens, sometimes the artist just can't pull it off, however if it goes the route of VG cats, which updates what, once per 3-4 weeks, at best?

Hmm...I've been waiting for the apocalypse...but I'd still rather it not be brought about by the ending of LFG. I always figured it would have something to do with the pope.

Why the pope? he isnt that cool, take some mythological creature instead, they can actually kick-ass in the most literate meaning of the word.

....The pope exists on this plane of existance? Besides, the mythological creatures and hellfires will come with the apocalypse, we need someone here to bring it about.

Indie zelda was a zelda fan site that has a couple zelda based web comics. I have no idea what happened but the site has gone updateless for almost a year. the site is still there and still has a partially completed windwaker comic and some other stuff.

I can definately picture a world where this happens. Ah, the aweful bloodshed as all the sociopaths go killing when they don't get their Richard fix. An image he would be proud of.
