We've seen quite a bit of this in the last few days so we'll give a reminder.

Reviving threads that are way older than a month old (most of the ones reseurrected were 5+ months dead, is a no no. Doesn't matter how many people post in them after it's ressurected, said threads will be locked.

I think its necromancy no matter how relevent you are. Sometimes, stuff just needs to DIE.

I don't think it's even that, most of the time they're just responding to what someone else said.

I will point out that until my banning, there was no rule in the rules section that said anything about necromancy. In fact, the only thread necromancy page at the time was five pages deep into the website. So, A) Something should have been stickied so that new forum goers knew (Some forums have no rules against bumping posts) and Perhaps it shouldn't have been mindlessly assumed that everyone reads every thread for three pages before posting their own... I sure as hel don't have the time to do that and I doubt anyone else does.

I will also note the irony that I was 24 hour banned for breaking a necro rule that wasn't posted properly... while in the "your banned" post made to me I was referred to as a Moron.... and that in fact IS outlined in the rules as a no no. So really, if there is an expectation for anyone to follow the forum rules maybe it should begin with the moderators? Just my $0.02, but I don't think it can be argued that I am really wrong here.

I never expected it to stop, just pointing out that if someone wishes to run something efficiently there is an unfortunate side effect of actually following the rules yourself. I'd get it if someone was having a bad day, I just see it as bad form to insult someone for not following a poorly stated rule when it is well stated you aren't supposed to insult people. The only thing I would want is an apology, not that I think I would get it... because that requires a bit more integrity than you normally see from people on the interweb... I at least apologized for inadvertently breaking a rule I didn't know about.

Really, Kayhynn, explain to me under what circumstance anything you do on here matters? I get how it makes you feel like a big person to ban people on a web forum because someone had the smart idea to give you some power. You seem to actually take enjoyment out of banning people. You're job is to moderate the forums to make sure things go smoothly, not get your panties wet every time you throw a 24 hour ban to someone.
