Wow. Whaw. I am just looking at the strip and am like "wtf?!"... It's a good one. It's just "wtf?!" one too. And it's the first time we actually see Richard "bleeding" - his previous wounds were just holes in his body.

Yeah, it worries me that I like the idea of Richard with anybody let alone getting together with a feisty dwarfish lass from the past; it never occurred to me before that I might actually be considering writing fanfic about such a pairing. I knew I was weird but I just didn't know I'm this weird. Learn something new everyday . . . and it seems that this comic is turning out to be quite the learning experience for me.

And...I'm somewhat ashamed to admit I just made a female dwarf paladin (who will pretend to be a bard through the use of song macros for certain spells) on WoW. Named Kathey. Who may never see the light of day, but...I couldn't resist the urge to just have her there for laughs. u.u' <3

Good additional to the team. I can already see some interesting future comics (krunch vs her arm wrestle, somewhat cruel yet hilarious jokes via dwarf n' richard, and maybe attention fighting between her and Benny)

He finally found a friend with a compatible sense of humor and appreciation for irony. And she called Cale effeminate too! I don't think I've ever fallen for a character so quickly after being introduced, not even Richard. Or maybe I'm just wishing with Richard that she gets to stick around.

It almost looks like Richard is looking fondly at the dwarf. Or they're starting at each other a la "I'm going to stab you in the back when I get the chance."

And, thinking back to the Beholder on page 67: "Six may enter, six may return." Could it be possible that the dwarf will return to the future/present and Tavor won't? Really can't see any of the main group staying behind.

I find it somewhat doubtful that the dwarf will go to the future / present with the group... but you never know o_O;; And I think Richard and the dwarf are just giving each other the "That was pretty funny" look...

You know, like after you laugh at something really funny with someone, and you just keep laughing and laughing. Then when you finally settle down, you have that ... content look / feeling? I know what I'm talking about It makes sense in my head! I swear...

Some people have watched too many movies or something, the very thought of richard ever getting it together with anyone, the dwarf or benny is quite disturbing. The only thing richard loves is himself

I agree with Richard, we definitely have to keep her! I wonder what her name is? She looks like an Elspeth to me.

To clear up the whole 'where are they going' thing, as I understand the plot, they are heading into the catacombs of the city in the past- in order to find the sword of truth and this 'anchor' that, once destroyed/removed/whatever, will cast Kethenecia free of time so that the Ketten wastelands are created.

I've also got to applaud Cale's expression in that last panel. It's the best example of 'wtf?' that I've ever seen!

I laughed myself to tears, with that "Lets keep her!" line. I be Iloverichard feels jealous (jokeing of course).

Is anyone else wondering why the dwarf chick doesn't appear in that statue?

My first impressions:

Is it just me, or does Sooba look weird in this update? Look at panels 1 and 5. It's not just his lower canines looking like tusks in the 5th panel, Sooba's face is very odd. It's starting to look like a human face, with chin, lips and eyebrows. Since when do panthers have bushy eyebrows? It's been clear for a long time that Sooba is not a mere animal but a kind of animal companion, but what if he's a shapeshifter?

Cale and The Running Gag, part 4. She thinks he's "nattering about like some lass"? Poor Cale can't catch a break. It's his lot in <edit>life</edit> to be the prompter, the guy who asks all the questions for us, the audience.

Ok, the dwarf is evil. Cutting off hands off people. Alright alright so she knows warlocks don't bleed to death, but still. She cuts off someone's hand to make a punchline. Truly Richard's sort of humour.

That look the dwarf girl and Richard are giving each other in Panel 10? Oh dear. It could be "You will make an amusing pet", it could be "We'll have lots of fun together", or "You're my kind of bastard".

As for the dwarf's personality... well, she is feisty, good for her. But she reminds me a bit too much of Benny. They're similar. Time wil ltell if the two will get along or if Benny will react to her like she did to Captain Tah'Vraay.

Richard is checking out the library... or maybe just looking for a fake book that will activate a lever that opens the secret door to a hidden tunnel. If I was Richard, I would have grabbed something... like Cale's cloak... and used it as a makeshift book bag.

So where do all these portals keep coming from I didn't see a portal in the panel that shows the library, and then suddenly there it is. Was it there all the time, invisible? Did the bard summon it? I could swallow the idea of the Shriek summoning a transtemporal portal out of thin air, because hey it's a ghost. And the portal in desert-Kethenecia had to be powered-up by Richard first. This portal was a stealth-portal.

Catacombs and portals, portals and catacombs... the question is, who invented this stuff first? The king and Tavor spoke of ancient elven magics that would preserve Lena in the catacombs, and the Shriek could create portals with a wave of her hand, which points to the elves. Did the Kethenecians steal the knowledge from the Gamlonians, or the Gamlonians from the Kethenecians? Or did Gamlon sell the knowledge to the Kethenecians in exchange for a promise to come to their aid in times of need? (If so, they got burned on that deal.) Or did both nations and races learn it from the dragons? On the other hand, where are the dragons at the time of Gamlon's fall, and what do they look like? Neither the dragons from Krunch's story nor the present day winged dragons of the Legion seemed awfully bright; intelligent, yes, but not supergenius-level.

I just jumped on real quick to vote we keep her. She's wonderful!
