Right, I just can't help feeling that there is closer links between the characters than have been confirmed already.

The ones that have been confirmed are:
Krunch raised Benny seemingly from a young age
Richard has killed Cale once, and has attempted to again
Benny has resurrected Cale
The King of Gamlon is the father of Leena, therefore making her a princess
Cale considers Richard a friend, whether this feeling is returned is dubious. However, Richard has referred to Cale as an acquaintance.
Sooba is Cale's pet
Any i've missed feel free to add

All below here have not been completely confirmed on panel:

Tavor is the son of the King of Gamlon, thereby making a crown prince, the brother to Leena, and most likely heir to the throne. (strongly hinted on panel)
Krunch is actually Benny's father rather than guardian (forum specualtion)
The archmage is Richards brother/father/son/tutor/classmate/protége/friend/same person/pony
Cale is somehow descended from Tavor, therefore making him of Gamlonian royal blood
Richard is related to Cale is someway.
Sooba is Richard's pet (Richard is Cale?)
Again, please feel free to add your own

The main reason I started this topic is I just have a feeling that the 5 protagonists (if you count Tavor) seem to be no random act of fate. I sense something deeper here. However, I could be wrong

We forgot about Sooba. Well, it IS confirmed that Sooba and Cale shares a sort of pet/master relationship.

But, for some reason, Sooba is easily tamed by Richard, so, unofficially, Richard would ALSO be Sooba's master.

I'm actually speculating that the arch-mage is Richard before he becomes an Undead Warlock. They do have similar looking faces. Especially the bridge of the nose.

Naah i would go for him being Richards pony, i could soo see him with a mane flowing in the wind!
