Yeah, totally a super-important question here. I have a burning need to know what gender Sooba is, and I don't remember it being referred to as he/she, so... I'm just kind of assuming Sooba's a girl based on the name, but it's still pretty ambiguous.

I'd say its a guy, cause guys rule. Sorry ladies, its the truth.

We still haven't cleared up if CALE is male or female, never mind Sooba.

well, in many languages, the -a ending relates to feminine words so I would figure that Sooba is a female panther thing, that and no one wants to draw a penis on an animal, its just plain wierd

Hmmm... no, I'd have to say female. Not just because of all the rasons mentioned, but also partially because I think that Cale is a bit of a mockery of Drizzt Do-urden (All he's missing is dark skin... well, that and competence), and Drizzt has a female panther companion. The logic there is strained, but I don't care. At least I HAVE logic.

Head over wetlands, the undead out by the two patialy sunken ships have a spell that turns you into an undead, boy or girl undead depending on your character, for my pets when they've been hit by it, i've always gotten a pet girl. It might just be that pets are automaticly female, or something, but it's worth a try.

In reptiles, the case is reversed. In birds, it's pretty random. Fish, Iunno, and arthropods, usually the female is bigger.

In bugs, the male is usually more mutely colored so he can hide from the female when she wants to eat him.

The larger displays of colour are usually dependant on health, and are a way for the females to pick the best mate without the males expending energy on territorial/rank battles.

A thick chocolate topping that I usualy uses on cheesecake, you pour t on and le it harden, then depending on the flavor of cheesecake you can decorate it with colored ganash

I'd go with the Drizzt-Guenhwyvar reference as well, and guess that Sooba is female. Either way would be fun, as long as Sooba is a badass. So far it seems she (or he) would rather eat Cale and doesn't mind Richard all that much (Sooba carried him out of trouble, leaving everybody else behind). It would be fun if some strips feature Sooba's thoughs.

Even though cheesecake by it's name is a "cake" it is actually made in a piepan and it is often topped with the yumminess that is Cherry-pie filling, and also has a graham-cracker crust. Therefore Cheesecake is in fact, a pie.
