I figured we could use a sports discussion thread.
So who saw last nights Texas Baltimore game? The rangers scored 30 runs, it was absolutely amazing.
It was the most runs scored in the MLB in 110 years.
Couple of other amazing feats:
Brandon Webb's scoreless streak ends at 42 innings
Tim Wakefield is now 12-2 against the D-Rays, while being 10-0 at Tropicana Stadium.
The Yankees still suck

The knuckle ball does +1000 damage against the Devil Rays.
And 30 runs? HOLY CRAP!

Wake's a great guy but he really does go under the radar, he's got 15 wins but his name's almost never in the news. The same thing happened to Mike Timlin these last couple years setting up for Foulke and Papelbon.

That's a good point. So, do you have anymore statistics of that crazy 30 run game? I wonder if they broke anymore records.
The Lone David
Aug 23 2007, 03:37 PM
The # 8 and 9 hitter drove in 7 runs apiece.
The funny thing is that it was a doubleheader and the Rangers scored another 9 runs in the night game for a total of 39 which sets and AL record.

Baseball scores too little is cricket quality game btw you can score up to 500 runs in a 50 over and in a test until all your player are out

Baseball scores too few runs? There's a reason why football (soccer) is the least popular sport in the states. Besides, Baseball is THE American sport.
ChaosDragonKnight
Aug 23 2007, 04:53 PM
really? I thought football ( In an American voice) Is the favored sport of America and btw Football ( Not American) Is the most popular sport in the world

American football is the most popular sport. Baseball, however, is the true American sport. And I'm not denying that Football (normal football) is the most popular sport in the world.. I know this.

Baseball is one of those sports that's just not exciting unless you've played it before/you're an active player.
The same thing goes for rowing. I'd much rather watch a rowing 8 sprint a 2k then watch an inning of a football/baseball/soccer game.
But on the topic of football, my precious Seahawks got annihilated last saturday(sunday?)...

Guy - I LOVE rowing. I'm probably not as adept at it as you, but my dream was to actually be a part of a rowing team in college. Alas - no rowing teams at the UofA.

Should've gone to Arizona State

. They have a pretty good crew from what i've heard.
I'm hoping to row at the UofW in the future and move on to national level. I can only hope.
Rowing is a really fun sport, despite what it looks like on TV or on videos. It's alot more then moving back and forth, and being on the water and trying to find the perfect stroke is kind of relaxing... Also it's harder then alot of sports

!
edit: pedroia went to AZ state.

You're lucky to be on a team like that, I'm stuck as a relief pitcher and had 3 2/3 innings over the last 10 games. I've got a 0.00 ERA though.

Muay Tai scares me I tell you this right now. But Rugby is about the team over the single player and the Haka is just one reason why the All Blacks are so kick ass.

BoSox swept, and the Tigers won over the Yanks, so the Sox have a 7.5 game lead right now. The series this week should be fun the way Boston's been hitting.

I'm upset because my right knee hurts for no particular reason whenever I extend my leg. This makes it hard to run, skate, do normal activities, and most importantly rowing.
SUCKAGE. My parents won't even spend the money on a knee brace for me, so I probably have to buy it on my own.

Knee injuries are always a bitch. I would know.
Well, hopefully Ortiz and Lowe do some damage!
