Hello fellow WoW addicts!

I have played since retail release (didn't get into the beta, unfortunately).

I gave the game up for about a year, because I met a girl - and wanted to focus on the dating instead of the goldfarming.

It paid off, we moved in together, wound up engaged and have recently bought a condo.

But the really cool thing... turns out she was a gamer all along and didn't even know it. When we first moved in together (a little over a year ago) we were unpacking and she found my WoW box. She read the back, was interested, found the manual and devoured it. She then spent the next few days scouring the WoW sites, official forums, etc... and shocked the heck out of me when I came home one day with the proclamation of: "I WANT TO PLAY WoW!"

('nuff about my personal life, likely boring all of you)

Now... on the the main event!

My GF and I play Horde (which is the only way to play... Alliance SUCK! - FOR THE HORDE!!).

We each have a lvl 70, both Shaman, and we're officers in one of the largest guilds on our server (Sentinels, <Earthen Council>). She's a Resto shammy, with some awesome gear... and I was an enhance shammy but have recently respec'd to elemental, and am building up a nice set for running Kara, Mag/Gruul's lair, etc.

She's a Troll, I'm Tauren.

We play quite regularly - I'm usually one for at least an hour a day.

Now it's everyone else's turn to share their WoW info!

Lv 70 resto shaman meh decent kara/ heroic which i started when the game was released and stopped for about a year when he was 52.

And my new baby Popsiclepete lv 70 druid on Senjin kara geared and heroic geared with some noob arena gear! Oh hes feral and was tanking way before the expansion came out, now all these tank druids are popping out of the wood works!

Just started up WoW again after a few months' hiatus. I was also playing Alliance at the time - NE Druid, lvl 19 - and I never leveled her again.

Then I was drawn into the Horde side.

I often play Tauren Hunters and my partner-in-crime plays a Blood Elf one. We make a very peculiar looking pair... that's for sure.

btw - there's a great article (linked from wowinsider) on the official WoW forums that gives great advice on how to maintain a level 70 enhancement shammy that raids even Kara very effectively. Just thought I'd point that out.

I'm always fascinated how people can become either famous or notorious in various servers. What is your friend mostly known for?

I've been playing WoW since Beta but I'm a rather casual player, was quite into it for the first 50 levels and then slowly started losing interest only to come back to it later, then quit, come back so on and so forth.

Now that I found a place to call home with a lot of local players including one of my best friends I've been pretty constant and looking forward to leveling up to 70 this time around. I also think my gf is going to get into it once she gets around to ordering her freakin notebook!

Anyway, I had a lvl 59 NE War at first and then once Draenei were announced I re-rolled since I enjoyed them much more in the warrior roll. Not to mention their racial traits are excellent for a war, that gift of the naruu has saved my butt more then once.

The Gift of the Naru is arguably the most powerful racial ability in the game. Too bad my Tauren Stomp doesn't cause me to HoT as well.

I also have a 33 druid and a 13 priest all on Whisperwind. I also have a 32 hunter that I havent touched in 12 months now

I started.. Maybe a month ago. My main is Alliance, Mellii on the Stormreaver realm. level 14 warrior.

But it's my Horde I <3 most. Level 8 Orc Hunter, named Fennrir. Not very far along, either of them. But i'm not devoted enough to the game, reall.

I don't play anymore,but I had a level 41 Dwarf Pally on Kul Tiras.However,with the announcement of the second expansion coming out,I may be coming back

he actually just hangs around trade channel replying to everone and sometimes he goes into elwynn or duskwood to do "raids" on rare mobs

On the servers that I played on, Horde players (in general) were a lot more mature than Alliance players. When BC came out, however, all of that changed, and we were FLOODED with Blood Elf teens screaming out pwnz0rz and I'm-too-hawt comments. I think it made me shed a tear.

I know that the comment above seems to have no relevance to what we've been talking about, but our discussion gave me a terrible flash back of one of those Blood Elves. He spammed the entire n00bie zone with his expletives. Needless to say he wasn't very popular either.

I'm getting WoW for Christmas can anyone tell me all the PvP servers in Europe that speak English

The Blood Elves have the best racial in the whole game: Nerf the Horde

You my friend, suffer from a sever case of altits. I recommend rolling a druid and sticking with it until the higher levels . The reason I say druid is because you can Tank, Melee DPS, Cast DPS, and heal, all with one easy respec. And if you like to spend spend spend, you get a psuedo mount at 30 and a free flying mount. But if you think a shammy or pally would suit you better, go ahead as they are also hybrids and you can easily change your playstyle with just the click of a button.

Oh, and gear up for your spec. If you need any advise, PM me. As I said, Forgotten Coast for allies and a low level lock on Onyxia thats horde.

... I've already been told that by one too many people Triforceelf. And i don't play the same way as people like you do. i play for playing, like i would any other game. i mostly rp with my friends on different servers and guilds. Plus i get to play for free (thanks to my ex). I just like to explore, rp, and make alot of different characters.

I love horde... and Dont mind ally... Friends are Friends in the end...

I'm not trying to insult you delfina, or commenting on your playing style. The game is about having fun, and if what youa re doing is fun for you, I recommend you continue doing it. But if you can find yourself some good friends (there are some really excellent RP guilds on the RP servers, you just have to know what to look for) to play with, leveling u p can really open up so much more of the game for you. Experiancing some of the really amazing areas out side of the begining areas really can broaden your overall experiance. I understand teh draw of creating tons of new charecters, I have played to level 20 at least on every race and on every class. So understand it is fun, but I do encourage you not to get caught in a rut and allow yourself to experiance the entire game, not just whats avalable in the RP realms ( I spent a fun two weeks on an RP server) or the PVP realms (heh, killing people) or whatever. Do it all, your not limited to one thing.


And horde sucks.

I've stopped playing for the most part, but I've had a 70 rogue, and 70 warlock on Blackwing Lair Server horde side. Used to be on Frostwolf. Too many equipment upgrades and free giveaway pvp items ruined the game for me. Its like everyone could get epic gear without putting much effort. =P

I have a lvl 47-48 warrior on Skullcrusher. But...you know: No PAY-No PLAY.
And i can't get my folks to pay. i still don't have a card

My ex-boyfriend is the cause of all my WoW problems. Even though we aren't together, I still blame him. When we were together he was always on his laptop (main reason for the break-up) playing that goofy game. After a time (and nine million arguments about not paying attention to me), he decided to infect my laptop with the game and told me to sit down, shut up and play. So, as a good girlfriend I did... and got hooked. We leveled up our hordie characters together (a 70 Tauren Druid & 70 Undead Ice Mage). Well, as any good WoW'er knows... the Undead and Taurens don't mesh well so we split up. But, we still play together on our Hordies.

Right now I'm working on my magical Warlock Ryvvie. Hooray!!

I consider the EZ button to be either Hunters or Warlocks.

Yes, I suffer from altitis. It is a crippling syndrome indeed. Poor Thelo still isn't Kara keyed because I'm trying to level everyone else. SOON though.

Have you ever fought a BM hunter that knows how to play? The 2 Bestial skills won't let you root or sleep anything. And their cooldowns aren't bad either. Plus, they have some pretty good stuns on their own.

Warlocks are arguably even more effective.

Replace "Hunter" with "Rogue" or "Paladin" and you are correct.

Locks pose a serious threat, especailly if they have that stupid fel hunter out. BM hunters I have faced, and they are a larger challege, but not so much so. The simple fact that I have the armor and health of a good fury warrior makes me very hard for a melee class to kill. With BM's the trick is to ignore the pet and go for the hunter. The pet is a serious threat, but if you kill the (usually) weaker hunter, your set. Keep your dots up, hots on yourself and take him down quick.

There's never a winning situation on a debate/argument based on which classes are better. When I referred to Warlock/Hunter as the "EZ button," it's my general opinion that they're the easiest classes to level up in the game (purely in a PvE) sense - and that's just for me. I've played every class in the game at some point to their mid 20's (not impressive I know).

In my BG battles in various PvP servers, my BM hunters never really had any issues dealing with any class in particular. Send my boar in with a charge - interrupt casters. Hit intimidate - add another 3 seconds of stun - which usually interrupts yet again. ~meanwhile still hitting the poor target with my hunter with various long range abilities that I obviously don't have to delve into. Once the stuns are lose, and the concussion shot has expired.. toss up good ol' Beastial goodness. Even huge HP tanks and Pallies are typically near death at this point. If BM hunters want to overkill, they can even utilize their nice trappies before throwing into Melee (Bestial makes them valid melee DPSers).

WoW is a big game of paper/rock/scissors. Anyone can follow-up with what I said above with a sound method of 'getting out of this or that' strategy, but that's the beauty of WoW. It isn't perfectly balanced yet, but it's balanced to the point of still being fun. And that's all that counts. My said strategy above has netted me far more kills than deaths in any kind of BG's - which is a whole lot more I can say about my high level Rogues. I never raided, so I was always gimped with equipment.

And warlocks are even easier to level up than hunters because there's never any downtime (if done properly) and you even spend LESS money on equipment. Hunters still need ammo and decent equipment - whereas Warlocks can still kill at a ridiculous rate and not worry about their items as much.

I love Tauren nothing more scary then a giant half cow half man who weighs a ton charging towards you and crushing you

I love the Tauren, too, actually. A close friend of mine always gets into Gnome vs. Tauren arguments. I utterly (pun intended) despise gnomes, and he hates all cows. They just give me a warm fuzzy though whenever I see them in-game.

You're not alone Gnomes are freakish and I despise them they are only good when you run out of footballs

I remember playing a Gnome once... ONCE. I just couldn't take it. Besides... everything just seemed way too... big.

Ah come on. Their background story and n00b starting area is great. Plus, the female Draenei are based on the old succubi models which were great to begin with. And no other character can possibly look like a Drow/Dark Elf.
