Usually I make them 200x200 so they can fit for any forum (few use 200x200, most - 150x150, 100x100 or somewhere around ~80x80).

I had this image resized to be an avatar for my friend. Its from Cooking With Scorpion, a hidden video in the Crypt on Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance.

I'm an avatar guy. I have a huge amount of avatars. Some are little too big for here though.

I usually make my own avatars out of other things I randomly internet-napped.

Well hm, should clarify that these are not home-made but rather ones I've found over the internet over time. Although I can say that the Scorpion avatar was home-made.

never really made avvies,but I made a few of my own animated cursors and stuffs a long long time ago.not in a galaxy far far away.it was this one.that's pretty damn close.anyhoos,random ramble aside,I'll search through my archives (read:boxes of crap) and see if I can find them.or I'll recreate them and show you all.whichever will take the least effort on my part.

This is the program I use to resize all of my images. Not only does it resize, you can change image types. So if you have an image type that won't upload to Photobucket or something, you can change it to one you can. Its free as well.
