is there a word for someone who wants to have sex with the UNdead? i know about necrophila is sex with the dead but would that be the right word here? i mean necrophila's partner wouldnt be moving much right?
HAHA that would be an awesome way to start a zombie movie >.<;

*twitch twitch twitch*
Wouldnt it be the same thing...it's a dead corpse...just because it's a zombie/vampire/whatever doesn't make it any less dead. Still necrophelia.
And if there is a word for it, I would be scared. I mean...normally there are only "rules" and "words" for stuff that's been done. heh.
Celdar
Feb 7 2007, 05:06 PM
but i feel that necrophila actually requires a corpse not to be moving, if you want a sack of meat to make love to you and move at the same time... why not seek out the living?
i want to make up a word for this... whats latin for undead?
Etoh the Greato
Feb 7 2007, 05:10 PM
Yeah, I think a considerable part of the necrophilia thing is that you're smecksing an unmoving dead body. Of course, I can't imagine that a vampire or zombie should be particularly interested in countersmecksing you. Afterall, when the tools die, the desire dies.
Celdar
Feb 7 2007, 05:12 PM
a one way desire for something is still a desire for something
and desires are usually given names...

Here's an added fix!
Now what happens if you have two undead's going at it.......assuming that being undead you're able to still....well get it up, I mean viagra would still work I guess. But yeah, you've got two undead's is it still anecrophilia?
Etoh the Greato
Feb 7 2007, 05:39 PM
I think you'd have to have a pulse in order to get a boner, since that's just a swelling of blood. The only instance of undead loving I can forsee is lesbians. Zombie on Zombie action.
edit: This is nuts. I've never put this much thought in to this before. I can't believe I'm even rationalizing this conversation. >.<

Feb 7 2007, 05:40 PM
TECHNICALLY necrophelia wouldn't be able to be translated into latin because it's already a translation of words in itself.
So if you were to break it down by "dead" "love" "making" in latin would be "mortuus" "dilectio" "condita"
I love Latin
Kayhynn
Feb 7 2007, 06:08 PM
Well if its a vampire...they are undead....I could see it. I mean they suck blood they get warm blood flowing through their system....
I still have to ask "WHY?" Why did this come to mind? LOL
Etoh the Greato

Zombie on zombie what now?! Wouldn't there be a danger of bits falling off or getting stuck in awkward places?
"I pulled out! I swear!"
"No dear, you pulled off."
Etoh the Greato
Feb 7 2007, 06:21 PM
I guess we'd need like... Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton zombies. Nothing to pull off except the nose. "I've got your nose!"
Sethril
Feb 7 2007, 06:22 PM
That's just so wrong, little bits left in places. A girl wouldn't have to go bragging to her friends about his size, she just pulls it out of a pocket and shows everyone for their shared delight.
or worse yet, you can upgrade!
"I swear that new zombie man 'o mine is hung like a horse"
"yes Jill, that's because he stole it from Mr. Ed"

You won't really be able to craft the word in a non-english language because undead is just a play on how we ourselves use the word, undead LITERALLY descibes the living. So things like anecrophilia phail.

It's just a play on the word necro, which is from some language for dead. A is a prefix usually given with some
other language meaning not. Soooo. We have the loving (phili) of the un (a) dead (necro).
spyderjaxon
Feb 7 2007, 09:27 PM
Technically though, un dead does mean not dead. We need to coin a new word for dead and still functioning.

ooh, well, undead is, lets say ressurected as a mindless minion. so they're dead, but not quite. What we need is sort of a prefix to dead. These are just brainstorming ideas that may develop into something but...redead, no, living dead...maybe....
I like living dead. Why? It says they're dead. They've stopped moving, breathing, eating, etc and may or may not have begun to rot. However, they're still living in tha fact that they can think, move, make intelligent decisions and have some sort of higher conscious.
What's the latin translation for Living dead?

necrophilia translates to "love of the dead". anecrophilia would be "love of the without dead", or in colloquial english "love without the dead/love of the notdead"

Half the problem is that the term 'undead' is technically a misnomer. Maybe 'halfdead' would be more accurate. Or... 'exdead'? Something like that.

it's a she and it is?
are you sure? theyre declined like latin words...
also the stems, necro and philia are both latin....
if it is greek then we can't use the a- affixation.
I found the online etymolgoy dictionary, whcih said:
1892, in Chaddock's translation of Krafft-Ebbing's "Psychopathia Sexualis," from necro- + philia.
I'm gonna go look up that book now

I suppose the problem does lie in the teriminology, you'd need a diffinitive explination for a being which is animated, but, in a process of decay. I wonder what "love of the rotting" would be. Though it wouldnt incumbus vampires, ghosts, or other life after death "things".

I took a look at the posts earlier and decided to skip a few , no particular reason except i felt like my brain was comming out my ears.
If no ones said it yet the term is in fact "Necrophile"
At least im pretty sure it is

Translate that into Latin, shorten it and Boom! New word!

Things like ghosts and wraiths would be separate. You couldn't have sex with them like normal undead; it'd require some truly bizarre preaprations...
That'd be something like, 'ethereaphilia'? I'm just guessin. Don't know what the roots mean or anything.
