As much as I dislike the emo thing, beating on them doesn't solve anything, it makes them martyrs.
Of course I'm speaking from the completely opposite side of the music spectrum, the stuff I listen to, Flaming Lips, The New Pornographers, and such cannot really be considered emo by any stretch of the imagination.
Oh, and I wear guy pants, because I'm a guy. I never understood why emo men do that...

I think Fox is trying to make up for the O'Reilly factor by trying to appear accepting of new trends and crap... but I think Blue summed up my thoughts pretty well.

Well I really don't care for Emo tunes and have to say if you think your life is the roughest of anyones remember you don't live in a third world country and most problems you have are over when you are done high school. As for the way you dress if you want to look like an ass it only makes me look better. The thing is that the only ones of you I have meet are rude because I merely wanted to go through the door you were blocking. So basically if you want to be whiney, do it to people that care and play nice with everyone else.

I can't decide what hurts more, watching guys walk around wearing those pants, or watching the ignorance of those who hate them.

Kinda like the Animatrix, which I should download soon...
Hunter
Jul 17 2007, 10:25 PM
I didn't like that one too much, I liked the art but the stories didn't carry too much weight besides to have something to progress the art.
Grym
Jul 17 2007, 10:26 PM
whats the animatrix? is that the matrix in anime?
Hunter
Jul 17 2007, 10:27 PM

Emo pants are a large problem where I live. I often find my self looking at a pair of legs as they walk past from under the shade of my hair only to find, when I decide to look up, that it is infact a guy in womans clothing. Well it's stopped me staring at random legs without looking at the head above.
Every generation does need someone/something to hate. It's always as such. I still want to ask how people can call Blink 182 etc punk and then go on to say that The Clash, The Sex Pistols are not punk at all!
The Lone David
Jul 18 2007, 02:46 AM
There's actually a really simple answer to all questions like that: people are stupid as fuck.
Grym
Jul 18 2007, 02:50 AM
that statement is amplified by a factor of 7 here in the states
I blame it on suits and the bogon's they emit.

Jul 18 2007, 02:50 AM
Yea. I'm sick of people that live around here. Unless it's been in the top twenty for the last week they have no idea who it is. I can only think of one good thing about this new 'emo' style, is that I have found people start to look for more... out of the way bands.
The 70's was when punk was actually punk and not the crap that get's labeled as punk today. The best thing i've heard labeled as punk in the last few years is Ska, which is good music, but has been around for a while as im sure you know. The majority of people have never even heard of Ska music around me. It makes me sad.
Yes. People are fucks.

This topic just took a very strange turn. Am i the only one that fails the see the connection between Douglas Adams and Emo:s?
Edit: Btw i see the future, someone takes bums figths to a whole other level and start involving emos and then later we go on to punk figths, speed metal figths, and so on and so on.

emos are about loss and pain, beating them will only make them more upset and have more of a reason to moan.
to dispell an emo, simpley ignore it. They HATE being ignored.
and if your lucky they might kill themselves ^^

Jabba
Jul 18 2007, 06:30 PM

reasonably. The one most recent was funny "y'know, kicking me in the shins was not very mature of you." most of the time its kind of bland though.
