Looky: 21 guests, 7 members, 0 anonymous members
Ambyant, zippo, Google.com, Jaezelle, Felixaar, Shinanigans, The Lone David, Phaiths
I just wonder what it takes for other guests to finally join?
For Me, it was simply wanting to show appreciation for a well crafted comic. and not having followed any of the dopey forums, by the time I got My number it was too late.
*laughies*
I did see that the book topic by Our Fearless Leader "What If? Sohmer" was definitely a great motivator, and I enjoyed reading what the newest members had in mind. SO MANY first postings and really impressed by their opinions and suggestions!
Tell y'all what- when new people join we might send along a welcoming crew to graffiti spruce up their homepage or something so they know we've noticed them..any words of encouragement or useful ideas here?
I'm not sayin they have to join, just that they don't need to hover or sit on the fence, it's more interesting in here !
oh yeah and maybe they can't even see this *more laughies* sheesh

We need something like this in the Comic or News thread, I stayed out of this forum until well after I had shown myself on the forum.

Guest doesnt necessarily mean that they aren't members. They could not be logged in yet, etc.
In some cases, it will show that a guest is there and the person haslogged in, but for five minutes it will show guest and their login.
To help encourage more people to join, well there's a few things.
Keeping threads on topic helps. Bellieve it or not, one of the biggest complaints I get via PM is that there are too many threads that degenerate and never stay on topic. That disturbs a lot of people which makes them feel its pointless to post.
Being friendly to each other. That helps a ton.
Encouraging people and not calling them n00bs *eyes a few in particular*
All of the above help

I got my name in someone elses posts, y'all owe me a crate of donuts.
Thats how this thing works, right? Right?
Seriously though. I stopped being a guest mainly because... Hmmn. I was probably either bored or it was after an especially good comic. Honestly though, I dont know why people would not register. I suppose they're checking out the forums to see wether we're all intelligent (good luck!) but its free, so why not?

see now i joined up because i was entirely bored and wanted to talk. Funny though i havent made many posts in the other forums, just this one. I guess mostly because this part of the forums doesnt seem to mind so so so much about small derailments. Also i dont know what to say in the others.
I also am a guest a lot, most when im at school though, because they dont always allow me to log in, which is rather annoying.

Thanks! This forum thing is finally starting to make sense; although some of the topics are still so weird ..
now, if I got the message right, guests can look around, but no posties.
Members were excited enough to fill out the little form just so they can agree or share their opinions by posting. oh and get another profile page with a good over all of what they are interested in and that tends to show their personalities as well as a certain level of intelligence.
nice.
what's not to luv?
I'd join again, knowing that this forum -unlike a few others- encourages us to have verbal intercourse without being asses about it. yess, there's a few guides and a new set of moddings in the offing, but embrace the open communication allowed here.
Always the best ~Ambyant
{intercourse = discussions, sheesh!}

I never was a guest. If I want to join a forum, then I join it. It's no fun not being able to take part in the conversation.
