Granted, Mr. Freeze is fairly awesome. I have to give the Govenator his props. I'd say that Batman is more of a hero than Superman. Think about it. Batman goes up against clearly unbalanced and dangerous people all the time. He's human. Every time he goes out, he runs the risk of bumping in to some punk with a gun and gets a lucky shot and shoots him in the face. And there are freaks like Freeze, Ivy, Joker, etc. Superman on the other hand does an equal amount of fighting crooks with guns. Except bullets don't wound him. He can only be hurt by magic and an ultra-rare mineral. Big whoop. Not very heroic if you're pretty much immortal and not fighting the real CRAZIES.

The Joker is the best, you know why? Only awesome people play him.

I just like the Joker because I taught him everything he knows. Not the "Have you ever danced with the devil on a pale moon's night?" crap. That's just dumb. I taught him everything about the CRAZY that he has demonstrated over the years.

That was something that was thrown in that movie for fun, but that was a hella good Batman movie. Do you know of Caesar Romero, the great latin lover? He was the Joker in the 60s and Mark Hamel (also known as Cock Blocker) was the Joker of the 90s.

Jack the gorilla man is my fav. He captures the essence of evil well.

As for the best villain ever...the Joker ranks pretty high on the list because, despite the fact that he is a brutal, sadistic, homicidal maniac, he has a disturbingly charming sense of humour.

And for the record, Luke is a wussy+pushover, which equals what Richard calls Cale in the last panel of strip 3# (Which is one of the funniest, and where my awesome-sick avatar originates). Hate to knock Star Wars, but I hate Luke Skywalker, Jar-Jar Binks, and all of those freakin Ewoks more than anything else.

Anyway Freddy Fuckin' Kruger wins by a WIDE margin.

Lord Sidious could kick his arse any day. Though, he is kinda cool in his own creepy way.

Don't call him Palpatine. It's degrading. It's not his real name. It's practically an alter ego. The identity of Palpatine is a total wuss. Sidious on the the other hand would chop Freddy in to tiny little bite size pieces, zap them with force lightning, and force push em out the window of a gazillion story building. The it will rain Kentucky Fried Kruger!

Then Krueger would reform, and go cut Palpatine into itty bitty bits after making some crack about how he had already killed Anakin.

Lil' Anne's a sissy. Krueger's like a playground bully who gets his kicks from saying "Yo mama" to kids a third of his size compared to Sidious.

But Sidious is uhm... dead. Krueger is eternal.

Come on we all know that the Wicked Witch of the West is the baddest villain we've had for the last 50 or so years.

Krueger lacks the most important quality of being a villain. Class. He's a freak who chops people up. Whoopty freakin do. Sidious gained control of the universe through sheer brilliance. Let's see ole butt face do that.

Freddy has total class, he kills his victims in the most disturbingly fitting way possible.

I'll be honest with you. I know exactly what goes on in the Freddy movies, but I have not seen them. He kills a few people with metal claws when they're asleep. SIDIOUS COULD KILL ANYONE HE WANTED BY JUST SAYING HE WANTED THEM DEAD!!!! And tell me something, could Krueger shoot lightning from his fingertips? No, I think not. And he's waaaaaaaay more ugly. Ok, maybe not by that much, but still!

You have no idea what goes on in a Krueger movie, it makes me laugh.

ok guys, first of all Sidious is like a foot note in the Star Wars series. I mean honestly, if he was so powerful he'd take over the universe by himself, not send Vader to muck it all up.

Krueger is a scary dude alright. Especially when he started to get a real personality. Nothing's more frightening than a bad guy with a terrible sense of humor. The last thing you want to hear right before you get chopped up is a bad joke.

However lets look back to comic books for a truly ultimate villain. Of course I'm speaking of Doctor Doom. Now wait, I'm not talking about the pansy from the movies. I mean the real Doc Doom. THe guy who makes robots who actually think THEY are Doc Doom until he gets close to them. THe man who has a contigency plan for every possible event. The man who has at one point outsmarted nearly every marvel super hero out there.
My only regret with Doc is that they made him primarily a F4 villain and i'm not as fond of them as I am some other super heroes. Honestly, if Doom were to ever cross to DC, poor Lex Luthor would be out of a job fast.

Now, I think Bats could take Doom, but every other DC superhero is just, meh.


Now if Doom had Krueger's powers of dream invasion and immortality then we have the ultimate supervillain.

Well for the antithesis of this thread I would say my favorite heroes from the norm DC and Marvel universes would be Bats and Deadpool, well Wade isn't really a hero but he was an X-man for a little while.

Frank Castle has never been to big with me, Merv from Sin City is better in my mind for someone of the same character type.

I don't really read too many comics though, so he's the badass.

Me either, I'm a sucker for Deadpool but Bats has too much going on for the last 20 years to really have a clue on whats going on in Gotham let alone all of DC.

As much as i want to say Raistlin, Doc Doom, or sidious, kruegar wins hands down in a fight against all of them he's immortal as long as 1 count em 1 believes in him. long as that happens he can kill people in their dreams at will you can't top that craziness
