I can't believe I'm actually buying this game, but I want to know how it turns out. I am big fan of the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors series. The game play gets a bit redundant after a while, as it is a hack and slash that involves a lot of button mashing. However, it is fun because of character development, and the overall history that the games are based off of.

Now, this game basically takes both of them, and mashes them together in one universe to combat a fiend named Orochi, who summoned them there for God Knows What (Either to get them to join his army or get some amusement. I have NO idea.) Both Japanese Warriors and Chinese Warriors alike combine forces with strange teams and pairings. You assemble a party of three warriors from either game, and can switch them mid battle. It seems interesting to me, but I think that Koei is pushing their success; Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors basically survives on a large fan base here in the US of A, rather then the general public sales.

This game comes out in the USA in late September.

....Hardly. I'm a rabid fan of the series, as I am largely into Oriental History. Hell, all I do is sit on my ass and play video games all day. I was merely wondering if anyone was interested in the series, and if they hadn't heard of it, I was providing a little something called DETAILS. You know, those little words made of text that form a sentence, usually to tell you about something.

So yeah. I'm not hired by Koei to advertise and spam random forums. This is a great forum and all, but you'd think I'd go after other, larger forums if I were a seedy little bastard sitting behind a desk, laughing maniacally to myself as I think of people buying said game.
