In light of what happened at the Hot Dog eating competition yesterday, I've made the conscious choice to depart the Internet for the next weeks (starting 5pm tomorrow). Not completely, mind you: my job requires me to access support sites. Those, however, should remain spoiler free.

Anyone else going into hiding until Midnight, July 21st?

(I also plan on wearing headphones and listening to music when I pick up the book so I don't accidentally overhear any discussions by people flipping through the book in the store)
The Lone David
I've preordered the book but I'm not going to one of those midnight gatherings, I don't do well in large crowds...
the last templar
i'll have to wait until november, thats when my deployment ends (as of now, wouldn't be shocked if we got extended again)

My sister is posting it up as a belated birthday present so Ill just have to steer clear of constant spoiler topics, I suppose.

Life be hard, yarr.

Compared to what, ye.

harry potter thread?
Dingbatticus
Apparently.
I left the bandwagon at book 3. Other members of my family and friends spoil it for me anyway.

Martha: Magic and stuff, that's a surprise. It's all a bit Harry Potter.
The Doctor: Wait till you read book seven - oh, I cried!
Renasko
Hugely looking forward to the book. I'll not leave the net for it. Though I may leave work...
Rae-Rae =^.^=
I think I will be in isolation upon that night, I may even ask for the next day off work. I've been avoiding the spoilers... the only thing I'm hoping for is the final showdown between Harry and Voldy. *cue awesome fight music*
I kinda live in a small town, so I'm not really sure if there's going to be a midnight gathering... I hope there will be.

I'm not even sure when we get it here. But i'll read it when my family gets around to buying it and I can slip it out of the bag and read it before they realise it's gone. I've done it with the last few books so why should this one be any different?

I'm not to bothered about spoilers. In fact i'm only really wanting to read this last book for the fact i've read all the rest of the series and dislike not finishing series.

book 3 was spoiled for me, so i have started a soon to finish ritual of reading the book within 24 hours of it coming out and feeling secure with going to work/college/using the net. Though during those 24 hours i am dead to the world. Cept for food and the occasional grunt at my parental units.
