After many long hours, days, weeks.......... many cancellations and reactivations, and a TON of wife aggro, I have quit WOW! Mostly due to lifestyle changes making it tough to play enough to justify the monthly fee, but partially cause I was ready to move on to bigger and better things.
Now the question remains....should I keep the account, or try and sell it to fuel my next scheme?

What are your thoughts noble LFG'ers? Well, other than the inevitable "Blizzard says it's illegal" posts of course tongue.gif
Cause, well, screw them.

Dammit, I just wanted to say that.

Lemme guess, you guit because of Lotr? My second guess is that you quit to have time to play RL.

Tried Lotr for a couple months yes, but have since quit that as well. Your second guess is the winner!

Its not illegal to sell your account as long as you mail all the disks over and the payment transfers to whoever buys it. But...selling an account might end up hurting you later on if you really feel the urge to get back into it. You could probably get some decent money for it assuming it's a 70 with some epics and whatnot. Another fun tip: make sure your server transfer is up.

I gave away my account approx.. 3 days ago.
2 year old account
level 70 Rogue and like 7-8 Alts on level 16 + warlock on 28 and another rogue on 32.

I would never sell it ^^

Be kind

You regret selling it but at the same time, sometimes its not worth the trouble just to play it... so take it from an experanced chap... sell it for the money, regret it, later on... or keep it around.. and activate it every so often.. but loose money doing soo, or, let me keep it biggrin.gif i'll give it back any month u wanna take payments over, i just play wow to talk on my sever, without those ppl/guild... theres one less goat.

Or you just let it die out and if you think you have the will power to play it again while balancing your life you can play it again.

I gave up on W0W myself, a couple months back. I've washed my hands clean from the game, after making lvl 70 Undead Warlock. I've since switch back to City of Heroes to fuel my Comic book addiction, but I find I rarely play it as much.

Is this the first sign I'm growing too old or mature for the MMORPG genre ?

Never sell your accounts. YOu regret it I've never sold any account on any game I've played just in case I decide I want to go back.
