This NOT is fan-fics from MMO's, but tales from online games, personal experiences.

My fave EVAR. I'm jethro in this one:
Backstory: I was owning him and another guy in 2 on 1 CTF, using a character that was a bunny. the appearance of the bunny is smaller then a person, so I was slightly harder to see.

(Name omitted): OMG n00b skin
Jethro: I'm going to respond to that with equal wit. Your mom.
(Name omitted): YOUR MOM'S A NOOB.
Jethro: ...
Jethro: You are going to die a virgin.

I was questing in Un'Goro in WoW one day, and someone who wasn't a chinese farmer said something in chat one day.

[3. LocalDefense] [Myzzeri]: HELP HORDE AT MARSHAL REFUGE
[3. LocalDefense] [Symmone]: How many?
[3. LocalDefense] [Myzzeri]: 3
[3. LocalDefense] [Taekwondo]: THERE'S 3 OF THEM, AND 3 OF US. WE'RE CLEARLY OUTNUMBERED!

Yeah, needless to say I kept questing and didn't help P=

Oh yeah, and this was recent in Stormwind.

[1. General] [Shadwstealth]: Where's the meat vendor?
[1. General] [Taekwondo]: Right here baby wink.gif

Why do people always ask where the meat vendors are? Are they just setting themselves up for a "In my pants." on purpose? =( Oh well. That's about all I can remember. Except this one time when a hunter was talking about talent specs and made a typo, saying Breast Mastery is the best build for grinding. That made me laugh for awhile.

A few memories here, two from well over a year ago, one from less than a year ago.

Back when Lineage II was in Beta, I remember being on the starter island and completely beating the crap out of all of the mobs that were two levels higher than myself with just one other guy for help. For those of you who haven't played Lineage II, how your attacks worked as the lowest fighter class were that you could use a bow, dagger, or sword. Swords did more damage, but had a mediocre charge, bows were about the same, and daggers did more damage if you were attacking from behind. So, on this particular character I had a bow, dagger, and sword, and the charge attacks for all three, and the other guy had the same. The charge attacks took a long time to recharge, but we traded off who used what on every battle, and we just worked, well, flawlessly together. I'd draw with a charge bow, then he'd stab with a charged dagger as they ran by, then we'd both hit with our swords and mobs would die instantly. Then he'd draw with the bow, then the next time we'd both charge in and do our charge attacks with the sword...it just worked out so incredibly well that I still remember to this day.

Another memory that I would like to share is back from old school Ultima Online. I had a character on the Atlantica shard named Sylvanus, The Mad Tinker, and one day a friend (named Tarnak) and I placed piles of 5000 gold all around a city in a pattern that started in the center and spiraled out. We did this right after a server reset when few people were on, for no real reason. He still has a picture of it (called LagMonster, by the by), because it was placed in one of the most populated(and therefore laggiest) of the cities, and we're sure it disconnected at least one person.

Finally, the last one I'd like to share is from back when I played The Saga of Ryzom less than a year ago. For about a month the game was undergoing a change of companies and could not accept any new accounts while they got their stuff together. Now, normally the game has an unlimited free trial, but you're capped at miserably low skill levels and stuck on the starter island. For this period of time they raised the skill cap for the island to a much higher level (basically more than you could feasibly get to in just about anything with the amount of exp available on the starter island) so that anyone who would want to buy an account during this time wouldn't be scared off. Well, I essentially got my character to 51(the recommend skill level to have before you left the island in your main focus) in *everything* and ended up soloing the island's hardest mob(the kind that usually takes 4-5 people to take out). There were also contests held by a mainland guild for those of us stuck in the newbie island, one of which was a 4 vs. 4 tournament in the arena. Since I had such high magic skills, crafting skills, and fighting skills, I put together enchanted equipment for my team with the strongest PvP spells available on the island, and we absolutely annihilated everyone else involved. It was fun.

Thread over. Everyone go home.

Edit: Um, warning, mature theme? Funny as all hell though.

As much as i love MMORPG, about 78.4% of the conversations makes me doubt the world even more, it scares me to think that some of the idiotic players of such games may actually RUN a government (Probably right into the ground.)
Though since this is a post about online stories i had such an experience last night, this is basically the whole conversation right here

<Some guy nobody cares about> LOL WHO CLEANED UP ALL THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZES THIS YEAR? AMERICA NOOB
