LFG is not online as so much as OOTS but it got us. So, in story, art, style and all the other stuff wich is the best?

Never saw OOTS, I'll look for it though.
Only webcomics I really follow are
LFG
8-Bit Theatre
CAD
VG Cats

Do you mean it isn't as updated as much? But since I haven't read oots I'm going to say LFG since I only read it and CAD right now.

Just checked OOTS and I would say I find it funny in someways (having played MMORPGs) but LFG is definately better, but the best on the net is CAD

Now I'm curious about this CAD, I never readed. Can anyone put the link?

Oh I see. I know this one. Just didn't know it has a abbreviation. It talks about video games, so, in this case, I prefer Penny Arcade

I'm not a hardcore gamer so I don't read Ctrl+Alt+Delete or Penny arcade; two guys being laid back and talking about video games just doesn't appeal to me.

I enjoy CAD, not so much Penny Arcade, there isn't much structure. And LFG is better than OotS, but LICD reigns supreme.

Jun 2 2007, 07:54 PM
I haven't yet read LICD, mostly because I like to read the old ones first but it takes a while so I'm waiting for a day to go through about 3 web comics and be up to day with them.

Me too. Is hard to find a good point to start a webcomic. I like a lot for different reasons.
Penny Arcade - I love games
PvP - I like his "Dilbert" + Sitcom style
LICD - Who doesn't want to be Rayne?
LFG - Love RPG and fantasy comics
OOTS - Shows that Art is not really important to make a good work

A webcomic is best enjoyed if you start at the very beginning and read a little bit each day. That's how I read all of my webcomics. Trust me, stick with that system and you cannot go wrong.

Make sure you remember what day you were on though, it's really annoying to search through the archives for an hour trying to find where you left off.

Best way to handle that is by bookmarking the last page you were on.

So just spend your day off on it, or go play with friends, you decide.

Well I'm going to the lake tomorrow, the next day I'm getting ready for work. So I think comic reading is going to be done at work on the slow days.

I'm going to show off and say I've read LiCD four times
as for OOS and LFG.... hard choice for me really. seeing I'm a big fan of both. OOS even though it is mainly a funny comic does have a very good storyline and its dramatic parts. LFG has both the art and the funny, and it clearly shows even though it's not that long yet that it does have a very good story. but still i don't know which one I'd read. depends which ones archives i had recently read though. XD which would probably make LFG the winner seeing i seem to reread the archives every other week for kicks. :3

I like them both. I keep up with OOTS, VG Cats, 8-Bit, Mega Tokyo, CAD, LFG, PvP, El Goonish Shive, and other lesser known ones such as Captain SNES, Ragnarok Wisdom, Fanboys, and others.
However the comic I have read the most times through would have to be Bob and George. BnG is just hilarious.

If we're having a "name all the webcomic's you've read" competition, I'd totally win
I like both OOTS and LFG for their story, humor, and characters. LFG is relativly new compared to OOTS but has much better art so I think its a tie.

I was talking about making your own comic. Its hard to find a good point to start. But, in this case, I start reading the comics trought the week, like a normal reader. Than, I take "that" special day and start from the very beggining (I'm trying to do this with LICD now that I started reading in January).

OotS does NOT parody MMOs. It very specifically parodies
Dungeons & Dragons pen-n-paper RPG.
I fail to see why some people always have to compare or ranks things, especially art. As if two things cannot both be good and entertaining, in their own separate way. Of course the artwork in LFG is better, but OotS was started as a stickfigure comic as an artistic choice, not because the artists is too incompetent to draw people, just as 8-bit Theatre deliberately uses computer game sprites. Of course, other fantasy webcomics since then have copied that idea...

It is a parody of the D&D MMO
And other MMOs at the same time
Did you completely miss the patch joke? how the rogues sword got shrunk? Thats a joke about nerfing... which happens in MMOS with almost every patch.

No, it's a parody of D&D itself, not the MMO. The joke about the ranger's knives getting shrunk (not a rogue, not a sword) was a joke about the update of D&D to 3.5 rules, AS IT EXPLICITLY STATES in the very comic. How you could read it and think it's a MMO comic is beyond me.
Still, you DO think Ctrl Alt Del is the funniest comic on the net, so that seems to be consistent with the level of intelligence you're showing there.
And, yes, I did register an account for the explicit purpose of insulting you. Bite me.

OotS is specificly D&D, in no way is it related to MMOs except in that D&D was the base for every single RPG and MMO in existance.
By the way what is LICD?

Least I Could Do, I'd guess. A generic 'guy jokes' comic.

Least I could do is Sohmer's first and original comic. Lots of guy oriented humour in there. Lots of women like that comic too.

Ooh, it's the same guy? Hadn't noticed that before, I don't read LICD, and I only read this sporadically.
As for the main topic, it's an unfair comparison, in my opinion, Order of the Stick has over 450 comics, and a massive ongoing plot. Looking For Group can't compete yet. Hell, Order of the Stick didn't start getting REALLY good until they got out of the dungeon, so I'd be waiting another 100 strips or so before giving any kind of proper verdict on LFG.
Mind you, I started reading this a month or so ago, and getting in at this stage does make the archive reading far easier. The slog through the Sluggy archives I did when I found it a year or so ago...well, that took WEEKS.

Honestly I have never heard of any of the comics mentioned above. O.o...
I'm hearing so much about this OOTS I'll have to check it out.
Currently the only online comics I read on an almost daily basis are:
LFG of course and
CRFH

Order Of The Stick is funnier sounding when you call it OOTS, especially with someone who doesn't know what you're talking about.
