Er... Am I reading this right, or did she say in 48 "eat her... a lot!" at the very bottom...?
Huh? Could someone explain what she means, English isn't always my strong suit.

TBH, I have no idea either. When i asked Sohmer this morning I got a verry direct "Nope. I never explain my jokes" So I guess it'll remain a mystery or some of our readers will speculate as to the what? where? When? How? and Why?

Well, Benny has told Krunch to eat people (Cale) before. She's probably playing off that, and telling him to eat Vraay--spitefully (the 'a lot' part)--and leave nothing of her, just to be rid of her high-and-mighty attitude that Benny seems to be quite irritated by.
...You know, she'd probably watch, too. And cackle gleefully the entire time.

Yea i think it is just that. Benny doesn't like her and she acts better then everyone so Benny told Krunch to eat her, a lot means she really Really doesn't like her and to be rid of her.

I think I got it just because of my twisted sense of humor. I'm liking Benny more and more these days...she's fun.

TBH, I just really didn't remember her telling Krunch to eat people before. Now it makes sense actually...

I just figured it was a sort of in joke between the two that only benny and krunch would really get but would be viewed as comical to us.

i never noticed it.
well, at LEAST not until i looked back on the previous strips. it CAN be confusing at times when you don't know what a joke means, yet you still laugh because you think it's supposed to be funny

I was looking for the best non-Richard Quotes to see if this one was in there and I found this post first.
I also didn't have a problem with understanding it. I think all the "EAT THEM!" comments play well into the the whole "gid" thing. Short of seeing Krunch go out and eat other people, I'm thinking it's not a thing he really does, and certainly not the easiest way to kill someone. But when she was a little little kid, and Krunch was all big, it would seem more realistic then. After she grows and knows that's not the case, it carries over as a half joke, half general "Hurt them, hurt them".
Either way, I can just hear her saying that line and it's funny.

That would be kind of... weird.... anyways, yea the joke didn't confuse me at all. dunno y it confused so many. just trying to make it more complex than it is, i guess.
