Hey friends,
So it's another Friday night and once again I'm going to be leaping online in a couple of hours to while away my evening on Ustream.TV. This has been a pretty regular occurence for me and I gotta say it remains an enjoyable one. I hope you'll grab a friend and bring them along to be (hopefully) entertained with my art on my weekly broadcast starting at 8pm, Lartist At Work. (http://www.ustream.tv/channel/lartist-at-work) Live Streaming by Ustream.TV Some folks have asked me how it feels to have so many people watching me work, and the truth is it is flattering as hell. I'm also really grateful for the opportunity to interact with our readers outside of a convention setting (only because cons tend to be all lumped up during the summer and then few and far between the rest of the year). What I do isn't a secret and if I can answer a few questions or even inspire someone else to overcome their own fear of exposure to get drawing, then that is just a huge bonus. Art is a 'do or do not' kind of thing. And the 'do' is WAY more fun than the 'do not'. See you around 8! -------------------- Yes. It's me.

I regret that I won't be able to follow any more Lartist-At-Work this summer... But hopefully Lar will continue to stream even after the summer.

For those who missed the stream, I was able to record the entire thing in four segments and you can view them at the Ustream.tv site for Lartist At Work (http://www.ustream.tv/channel/lartist-at-work).
In the first segment I am inking Sunday's Beginnings In the second segment I partially colour Sunday's Beginnings, before moving on to show some of my old sketches and cartoons. Harry Potter fans will enjoy that. In the third segment I demonstrate how to make a custom brush in Photoshop, and I also briefly discuss ways to create and use patterns and masks. In the fourth segment I discuss how to shade and how to draw fur. Later -------------------- Yes. It's me.

I was there for the first time and it was great. =3
Followed the first three hours and gave up as it was 6.00am here already and I needed to go to sleep. Next time I'll be smarter and sleep a little before things start happening. I woke after 5 hours of sleep and I had to watch the recordings of all that I missed. Now I'm going back to bed. Thank you Lar, I had great and enjoyable night/morning. Maybe next time I'm not so tired that I can't keep up with the chat. xD |

Hi there!
It`s hardly to believe, but from time to time I also try to draw (thanks to you) a little and such videos are really instructive there. Only one thing bother me This video has really interested me. If somebody maybe could say me now how this exactly is called, I would absolutely happy if anyone let me know that. ....or is that photoshop after all? Maybe, but i better wait for some right answers -------------------- You wanna see and hear Richard and Arielle sing together, watch this ;)
